Park Central New York Hotel - New York

De locatie is echt perfect. Vanaf JFK de Airtrain naar Jamaica Station genomen en met de metro E-lijn stap je op 53e straat uit en ben je vlakbij het hotel. Je kunt 's avonds lopen naar Times Square en wat eten in de buurt. De kamers zijn netjes, maar niet al te groot en de 2-persoonsbedden vrij smal maar wel goed. Wel grote TV. Het personeel is vriendelijk maar zakelijk. De liften werken volgens een onduidelijk systeem, maar de wachttijden bleven beperkt. Goede uitgebreide fitness. Mogelijkheid om koffers te stallen voor USD 1,50 per koffer.

Goede plek in New York, vlakbij Times square en Central Park. Ruime kamers en verder netjes. De staat van het gehele gebouw is goed. Het personeel is behulpzaam en vriendelijk.

Vooral de locatie is een USP: op een steenworp afstand van Central Park en Times Square. Je stapt meteen de city bustle in bij het verlaten van je hotel.

Prima kamer met een king size bed (met twee queen size bedden wordt het wat klein). Vriendelijk personeel. Een goed hotel om vandaar uit New York te verkennen.

grote kamer, goede badkamer, goed bed. Zou iets beter schoongemaakt kunnen worden en meer aandacht voor het aanvullen van de toiletbenodigdheden. internet zou gratis beschikbaar moeten zijn, of goedkoper

Goede uitvalsbasis, juist tegen over Carnegiehall. Vlakbij Central Park en met metro om de hoek. We hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van ontbijt en diner. Maar daar zijn meer dan genoeg mogelijkheden nabij. Ontbijt, zelfs gelijk er naast (zeer goed).

Wij hebben het heel erg goed gehad in dit hotel prima bed goed sanitair en goede service.

het Hotel ligt centraal en je kunt meteen vanuit het hotel door naar de metro. Fitith Avenue is vijf minuten lopen en ook naar Times Square is heel goed te doen. Een prima uitvalsbasis om New York te ontdekken. Tip!!! Op het Time Square kun je heel goedkoop kaartjes kopen voor de verschillende Musicals op Broadway.

Groot hotel met goede voorzieningen. De kamers zijn sober maar netjes en schoon. Van de service kreeg ik niet echt een warm gevoel maar wel correct. Internet op kamer was 14 dollar per dag extra. Bedden iets aan de korte kant voor lange mensen. Ligging is iedeaal voor metro en veel restaurants in de straten rondom.

Keurig hotel, niets meer en niets minder. Keurig personeel, zeer efficient. Kamers waren ok, maar de airco van het hotel werkt niet naar behoren de kamers waren veel te warm, veel gasten hoorde je hier over klagen. Badkamer was heel klein.

Het Park Central Hotel ligt uiterst gelegen in het centrum van New York, metrohalte om de hoek. Het hotel was netjes, de kamer redelijk ruim en schoon en de service was prima. Aanrader!

Locatie vlakbij central park en 5th avenue, guggenheim en MOMA. Subway om de hoek en in een wip zit je in de rest van de stad. 's morgens koffie in de koffiebar en de hort op. Kamer prima, alleen bad een beetje ondiep.

We stayed for 3 nights from 12th Sept - found the hotel easily from the subway as it's right next door. Check in went very smoothly and got to the room within 10 minutes of arriving. Lobby is large too with plenty of comfy sofas, perfect for waiting. Our room was a good size for New York I thought with a clean good size bathroom with bath and a very powerful shower (which was greatly appreciated by the end of the weekend). The bed was huge and very supportive, without being hard. Everything was very clean. We were lucky to have a room on the corner which overlooked Carnegie Hall, we could also just see Central Park. Times Square is only about 10 min walk away, subway next door, Central Park 3 min. Perfect location for everything we needed.

This hotel is excellently located for everything, including the subway. It is very clean and well managed - it has to be due to the large throughput of guests. However, make sure you are not allocated the one room on each floor next to the lift shaft which is busy 24 hours. Our request for a change was promptly agreed to. We would certainly recommend this hotel.

Our room was clean and relatively comfy although perhaps slightly expensive for what it was. My only complaint was that the walls were very thin and so we could hear everything that was going on next door. Location wise, couldn't have asked for better with a large number of sites and museums within easy walking distance. However, as it was right in the heart of theatre district we would consider staying elsewhere on returning to New York.

The elevator system needs help - one can wait 10-15 mins to get down the elevator.

Service is slow. We called to report a clogged toilet, which was never repaired. We had to go to the fitness center to use the bathroom.

After discovering that I could not check in before 4 PM (hard to take when you're on a one day trip!), I got into my room and it smelt of damp.

It was great theat we were only a couple of blocks from Time Square. the service was good and the staff were very friendly.

Why bother filling out what you want in a room when they're going to give you whatever they want? I have stayed at Park Central for ten years and have had varied experiences. This time upon checking in they had no room facing outside (for cell service) with a king bed. They sent me to an inside handicap room that looked horrible and smelled musty and old! I ended up with an outside room with double beds and a postage stamp sized desk! Time to try out other midtown hotels!

Hotel in excellent location for touring. Room decor a bit tired but sesvices on the whole good. No free internet.

location was perfect, comfortable room

The service was great for the first day, but the room was very small and the air condition was not working properly during the evening, I requested to transfer to another room because of the delay in repairing the problem. I was given another room but it was much smaller than the first.

Although the bed was comfortable and the TV was excellent, the lighting in the hotel room was extremely poor. There were sheers on the window, but curtains were the type that do not close. Therefore, at night with lights, there was little privacy. Also, the only view was that of a large brick wall, with other parts of the hotel off to the left. They state that they have parking, but do not tell you that it's a valet service and costs $39/day. Not exactly what I expected.

This was our second stay at this hotel. Overall the hotel is nice. The location is great, near Central Park, Time Square and subway stations. The room was nice and was good size for NYC. My only complaint was the airconditioning was not keeping the room very cool. We will definitely consider staying here on our next visit to NYC.

Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the bathroom. Mold was growing along the vanity mirror and on most of the tile grout in the shower. There were also bloodstains on the bathroom wallpaper and on the wallpaper outside the bathroom. The sleeping area had a musty/moldy smell as well. I just needed a place for the evening and work directly next door so I stayed and just showered at my gym. I told the front desk about it (when no one as in earshot out of respect because they probably didn't know how bad the room was) and she wrote up a work order. That was a plus, and I didn't get any bed bugs so I was pleased about that as well. But never again.

The rooms are comfortable, with excellent TV/movies. For the price, would have expected a fridge, but not a big deal. However, being charged nearly $6 to store your luggage really is a bit much!

A very good room for the money. It had a nice LCD TV. I really liked being close to Central Park. Subway from JFK dropped us off a block from the hotel.

Started out a bit bumpy; first room assigned had bathroom that did not have counter and flying bugs of some sort. The second room was much more comfortable without pesky flying bugs. The parking fee was waaay too much; stayed for a week and ending up paying close to $300 alone for parking. EVERYTHING costs so be prepared but after all it is NYC. Rooms smaller than I anticipated but overall for location good hotel.

We had two major problems with the hotel. One, the elevators. I know they are bad all over NYC but this system was strange and we were only on 8th Floor. Two, our bathroom. The curtain had someone else's blood on it and the lightbulb was out. We immediately called both things in, and only one of them ever got fixed after we had to ask again. This hotel was on sale for 40% off during the hotels.com in NYC sale and I can see why now.

GREAT ROOM AND LOCATION FOR THE MONEY

The hotel is a place to lay your head for the night; but, not a place to enjoy. If you are one who enjoys the city and does not look to enjoy the hotel when you are in it, this is the place for you.

The wonderful attitude and level of service we received from everyone at the Park Central can only be attributed to a top down approach from upper management. All should be commended. This includes Robert, Elizabeth, Michael and Dave at the front desk, John and Jamal at the bar, Maureen at the concierge desk, the friendly waiters in the restaurant, and especially the housekeeping staff! We'll be back to the Park Central.

I already reviewed this hote, but for some reason, it never appeared. This was by far the worst hotel I stayed in. My "non-smoking" room smelled like a chain smoker just died in it. The ceiling was cracking and falling onto the floor. There was obvious water damage in the room--bubbling carpet, and baseboard visably molded and painted over. And to top it off, I ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant with a friend the next morning--I ordered from the menu, she had the buffet--the waiter yelled at us because I had a sip of her buffet orange juice! I have never had such a bad hotel experience.

The hotel was in a great location, easy access to Central Park, and subways. The staff was friendly and the room was fine. Didn't knock my socks off, but not bad for the price.

Excellent location; fine service; very comfortable sleeping accommodations; good continental breakfast. An admirable bargain.
