Ramada Manchester Piccadilly Hotel - Manchester

Good friendly staff in a quality hotel. Hotel very clean and modern - as usual with a Ramada. Service not fast at the restaurant, but the food was definitely worth the wait - excellent tastes and presentation. Also had convenient screens for watching the football ! Just needed a pool and gym.

Ideally positioned for Manchester Piccadilly, excellent value for money. Hotel was far better than what I was expecting. Only thing was the bathroom was quite narrow but otherwise, a lovelyt hotel to stay at. Would definitely recommend it.

Stayed here with a group of 9 for a weekend. All agreed that the rooms represented great value for money... I've paid a lot more for similar/worse hotels in Manchester and elsewhere. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. Food in the bar was nice but there are so many places near by its almost a waste to eat there! The location is outstanding for everything, shopping, going out on the town or getting to matches.

i am very pleased with this hotel ; the location was perfect although i had to ask my way from manchester piccadily railway station .my room was very clean every thing you expect from a hotel . the reception staff were kind and helpfull.

Hotels.com always has great deals at this hotel. The location is pretty good - not too far from the train station. The food is good and room service is the same price as dining in the restaurant.

The hotel has a weird parking scheme above street level and we could not find a space. We were told to park under the hotel in the NCP carpark and we would pay the equivalent £12 per night on departure, we paid slightly over in reality but at least the car was safe. Our room was very nice, clean and tidy, as was the en suite. There was a smell in the bathroom as the air vent wasn't working but we weren't in the room long enough for it to really bother us! The hotel bar was lovely, as was the food but service could have been a bit more professional. Overall we were happy and would recommend it. Location is great .

First entering impression was, this is a big place. Also very convenient to the Piccadilly trains station. The first room I was give was on the 11th floor and when I opened the door someone else was staying it in (luckily they were out and not in the shower!). I noticed the hallways were very hot so when i went down to get a new room I mentioned the heat in the hall and they announced (for the first time) that their ariconditioning was broken and they have been trying to fix it for over a week. It seemed like they were hoping we would not notice. My colleague and I explained that this was no acceptable. The assured us that they would up grade our room and put us on a lower floor which would make us more comfortable. I found the room temperature fine, but my colleague woke up and said he could not sleep all night. He was far more disappointed than I was. I think it depended on which room you were in. Otherwise, the rooms are a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Good value for money (when the aircon is working). Breakfast was comped due to the broken air, so not sure what it would have cost, but it was an typical continental plus hot breakfast bar. NIce. All employees I encountered were very kind and helpful. I would most likely not stay here again if I could stay in a nicer hotel for £20-£30 more per night (it would be worth it).

Hi all have recently stayed at this hotel and found it a very pleasant place to stay. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was spotless with all amenites as described. Its location is superb being literally a few minutes from Picadilly station and the centre of Manchester. I would not hesitate in booking this hotel again if I need accommodation in Manchester

we stayed at the ramada when oasis were plating a gig and although the hotel was very busy the staff couldn`t have been better, the parking was handy allthough it cost £12. The location was perfect as you walk out onto picadilly and the shops. The room was nice and clean and the shower was good. i would use this hotel again.

Hotel is fine really although we did have to wait in a queue for 30 minutes just to check in. Was then told would be charged 12 quid just to park in hotel car park, that not being being bad enough was woken at 8am next morning to move car as it was in wrong area of car park, they then proceeded to loose the keys and we had to wait another 30mins whilst they located them

we only stayed 1 night as we were at a concert but the hotel was simply beautiful and in the perfect area right in the centre. the staff were very polite and helpful. our room was very clean and tidy and very comfortable and the view was amazing. we will be back hopefully in the next 3 months for a longer stay and get more benefit from the beautiful hotel.

We regularly stay in Manchester City Centre - this hotel was way below par. The room was tiny, the bed was 2 twins stuck together, the windows don't open. The room was dirty and smelled of urine - we asked to change rooms but the next was no better - makeup on counter tops, smelled etc. We complained and received no compensation - we will certainly never return

Great location when flying into Manchester- just get the train to Piccadilly and walk for about 5 to 10 minutes to hotel. Hotel does not look that impressive from outside but has nice contemporary decor inside in lobby area. Not 100% sure if all rooms have been refurbished but mine was, which was very nice - you could possibly say it was a bit small but given location in centre of Manchester I would say it was fine. Only complaint was confusion with my room door which would not respond to my key card and I had to get moved to another room. All of this was done with minimum of fuss and staff were very competent. Overall, location excellent, hotel perfectly fine for a weekend away (we were in to see a Man. Utd game) and would definitely stay again.

I only stayed for one night so didn't use any of the hotel's facilities such as the bar or restaurant, but the hotel was very clean and well maintained, and the price reasonable. The Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, recommending attarcations, restaurants and giving directions. The room itself was very comfortable and clean, though the walls were quite thin - I could hear the guest next door splashing around in the bath! Would definitely stay there again though.

A lovely hotel, right in the centre of Manchester the location was ideal for exploring the city.The staff were excellent, could not fault our stay.

Excellent town centre location. Really friendly staff who are very helpful. Quiet and relaxing in spite of being in the centre for everything. Can not wait to go back.

It would be very helpful if an invoice could br providrd. This was a business arrangement and invoices are required. The hotel reception staff refused to provide an invoice.

This hotel is right at Picadilly Gardens - a very central part of Manchester. The rooms, while small are well fitted out with a comfy bed, flat screen tv, and a full size professional hairdryer (not the usual hose contraptions bolted to the bathroom wall!), as well as tea making facilities. staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There is some on street noise which can be a little disturbing, especially at weekend nights, but it is not a major thing. All in all, this is a very well priced, comfortable and central hotel.

No frills but good central location for business in Manchester.

the hotel is in a great location in the centre of manchester. we were there for the weekend for a concert on the friday and our work's christmas do on the saturday so the central location made it easy to get to both venues. the room was fairly small but clean and comfortable. one of the main reasons i picked this hotel was because breakfast was served til 11am on saturday and 12 noon on sunday so we could have a lie in after our christmas do BUT the fire alarm went off at the same time on both mornings just after 10am, which seemed a bit suspicious especially when the cleaning equipment for the rooms had appeared during the time we were evacuating the hotel! neither alarm was for a real fire, which i'm quite glad about because the staff weren't very useful and on the saturday the fire escape was blocked by a delivery van! most of the staff were friendly except for the man behind the breaskfast bar who seemed to have something against women - i'm quite short and didn't want to stretch over the hot plates to pick up a plate so i asked if he could please pass me one and he told me he couldn't because it was hot. i told my husband when i got back to our table and he told me that the same man had passed him a plate without even being asked to and said 'what can we tempt you with today sir'! The breakfast area and hotel bar are pleasant with views over Piccadilly gardens.

Very small room, uncomfortable mattress. Corridor and bed sheets smelt of cigarette smoke, and we could hear the TV in the room next door. Only good thing is the convenient location.

I would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay centrally in Manchester.

Hotel was perfect for our trip. It was close to the MEN Arena and the town centre. Great value for money

Our stay at the Ramada Manchester Piccadilly Hotel was pleasant, when we arrived there was some complications with the reception desk but the staff on at the time did apologise and tried to correct the faults quickly as possible, after the faults were rectified the check in process was simple and quick. Our room was clean, tidy and nicely furnished. The shower was excellent, in fact I would like that shower at home. When we left for our evening's entertainment the reception were more than happy to order a taxi for us and we left, looking forward to returning back to our hotel afterwards. When we returned we found our mattress to be a little harder than expected but we were only there for the night, so we didn't mind so much. On our check out the next day we were quickly dealt with and on our way within minutes. Overall apart from the firm mattress which i think is a more personal matter of opinion we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would defiantly come again.

currently under renovation, am wondering why the reception is not on the ground floor, security is kind of loose, anyone can walk in and access the room floors during the day even though each floor seems to have a security camera, rooms look modern with new furniture and a flat screen lcd tv, but no drawers or closet doors except a small safe, bathroom in standard rooms need some work, too basic, internet connection fee is too high, this thing call the net has been around for over 15 years now so common, overall nice hotel situated in a great location,next to shops,restaurants, rail and bus stations,

The hotel is a good value.Chris in the reception did his best to make us welcome. One bad thing is, you can hear your neighbour talking, so if you need quiet to sleep, use earplugs. Don't use the phone with a phone card. 2 punds each time you try, even if you don't get a reply. The breakfast is very good, but it is not served early enough if you have to leave early. Every room has a coffe maker, so you can have your 'morning fix' any time you wish.

Very well situated and lovely big room let down by the heating not being on when I arrived late on a freezing night - room was like an ice box and took hours to warm up, plus the fire alarm went off twice during the night. Staff were very helpful but often a long wait at reception to be served.

alothough the room is a little smaller than i expected. but for the price i paid really worth it. the condition of the room is great, and the view from the room is not bad too. and it's very cosy.

everyone was friendly and helpful.hotel is perfectly situated for pubs clubs entertainment of all kinds and even cultural value.also central to wonderful shopping.one flaw my travel companion enjoys a smoke,there should be at least a few smoking rooms

After checking into the hotel and getting my room key I headed to my room, 206. Imagine my surprise when I opened the door to find another guests belongings in the room!! The receptionist was apologetic and gave me a new room, 209. This must surely raise security issues for the hotel as I could have stolen everything belonging the other guest or done worse if the guest had been in the room!!

Really good location and very good value. The hotel staff were very helpful and the rooms were very clean. My only complaint would be that the double beds were a little small, they were comfy, but not that big at all.

Good quality hotel, for a reasonable price

Ideal for a night out in Manchester, this hotel just does the trick. Nothing special but not too expensive, rooms are clean and it feels fairly contemporary. It is much better than it was pre-refurb, although they have skimped on some of the bathrooms which haven't been retiled- just regrouted! I would stay here again purely for the convenience- although i am sure you can get better value hotels elsewhere in the city. It is better than a travelodge- but not a whole lot better.

I had a really nice stay at ramada. It was very modern and was very impressed by the ground floor entrance though i didnt like how the reception desk was on the second floor. However if your parking your car at ramada on 2nd level which i should mention is free, then you shouldn't have any inconvenience. The room was nice n clean but on my second day it had some sort of damp smell. The other thing i did not like the was internet not being free but there is a Burger KIng jus across the road which has free wifi.

My boyfriend and I had tickets to see manchester united (night game) and decided to stay over night in manchester. We were very impressed with how clean, comfy and modern the hotel was. The staff were very friendly and the location was excellent....right in the centre of everything! The metro was on our doorstep, along with plenty of buses, and the hotel was only a five minute walk to piccadilly rail station. Plently of great shops and places to eat near by aswell. Overall we had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would definetly recommend it, we will be using the ramada chain again!

Was a charming hotel, with lovely helpful members of staff. The room was just what we were after with all the essentials we requried. The hotel was a stones throw away from shops, restaurants night club and the regular tram station. Would most definately return again.

Right in the centre of Manchester , we even took our bags back at lunch time and the walked back to the shops.

Lovely hotel after a complete refurbishment. Modern, bright & comfortable. Good hotel option for business or leisure - right in the heart of the city. If you ask for a room overlooking Picadilly gardens you get a fantastic view of the city. Unusual layout with reception on floor 2 and the main bar area on floor 3. Good breakfast available as well.

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend in this hotel. The rooms are modern and clean and the hotel is well positioned for shopping/train station etc. HOWEVER, I would not recommend any more than a short stay here. The room was TINY and the "double" (more like single) bed was so small that I nearly fell out on more than one occasion during the night. Also, there is extremely limited space for hanging or putting folded clothes/underwear. Great hotel if you're traveling alone, but a bit claustrophobic with more than one!

Hotel was lovely, nice location BUT the view from my window was horrible! had a wire dangling infront of the window that wasnt very sightly. The bed! i would rather of slept on broken glass, i am 20 years old and woke with a stiff neck and bad back. The TV had a mind of its own and a very poor signal! switched itself on at 7am even though i had not requested a wake up call. Food very expensive! would of rather stopped at a premier inn!+

Last year stayed at another, what I would consider budget, hotel close by. This was a similiar price, but head and shoulders above the competition. Nice modern, clean and comfortable room in an excellent location for the pubs, shops, restaurants and transport links. The only issue I had was at 830am on a Saturday morning with a hangover that the fire alarm went off, and even though everyone left the hotel there wasn't any body count once we had got outside !! Assume there was no fire as they let us back in !!

If you want a hotel right in the action, then this is the hotel for you......if you can sleep through noise that is! I stayed at the Ramada as I had an exam the day after in Manchester. The website said nothing of it being right in the middle of the hussle and bustle but believe me it is! I stayed on the 11th floor but when I was trying to get to sleep, the noise made it seem as though I was on ground level. It is right next to the tram lines and bus stops so constant noise from them throughout the night, not to mention music from clubs/pubs, street cleaners at 3am and the constant noise of the A.C unit even when it was switched off! Finally I managed to get to sleep around 4am, so I managed a total 3hrs sleep before I went for my exam....great stuff. I'd also recommend that if you do stay here, bring a pillow as there is only 1 each in the rooms and they were as hard as rock. I can say I will not be staying here again if I have an important engagement in Manchester. If you are hard of hearing or can sleep through the equilavent of an eathquake then this is the hotel for you!

Overall I was very pleased with this hotel. The location is absolutely ideal for shops, restaurants, bars and its a 10 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawbacks were no fridge in the room, lipstick on a glass, not enough pillows and the thickness of the walls! I would definitely chose this hotel if I were to visit Manchester in the near future.

A wonderful hotel. Very clean. The staff were fantastic and very welcoming. The bar and resturant area were well looked after and there was no waiting to be served. The rooms were small, but had everything you could need. We had a wonderful stay at the Ramda and would recommend this hotel very highly.

Although hotel is undergoing renovations this does not detract from a good quality, value for money hotel. The location is ideal for exploring the city, with the metro, bus and rail station nearby.

really nice hotel clean rooms air con mable floors good service good food. only problem beds are really uncomfitable and leave you with a bad back in the morning i woke up with a really painful lower back after sleeping on the bed and compained but they didnt offer any money back.

The hotel was brilliantly situated for both Canal Street (Mardi Gras) and for shopping the following day! The bed was SO comfy and brilliant pillows - quite a first for hotels these days! The concierge and rest of reception staff were really friendly and very helpful - and happy (again, abit of a first!!) I'll definitely be staying here next time I'm in Manchester.
