we had a one bedroom suite. Good location. Close to many tourist attractions. Parking fee was not bad at all, however on Saturday night,parking avaiability was a slight challenge. we were on the 16th floor with a good view of down-town with associated down-town noises, but not a problem. the hotel personnel were friendly and helpfull.

I'm not given to superlatives, but this is the best hotel experience I've ever had in this price range. The facade of the hotel is nondescript, but the service and quality of the space inside is superb. I've never stayed in a cleaner place; the hotel seemed spotless, and the staff couldn't be nicer. The location is also as good as one could hope for, and right behind much more expensive accommodations.

It was very nice, but no air conditioning. Leaving the windows open creates a nice breeze, but hard to sleep with all the street noise.

Hotel room was a little small, but loved everything else. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, downstairs restaurant charming with great breakfast, lunch and diner. View from room was good, especially at night. We walked everywhere from the hotel, went whale watching (saw killer AND humpback whales), had a great time around the harbor. Love Victoria.

We went to Victoria during the recession, so tourism was down. Consequently, we got a great discount on this hotel. When we checked in, our room with a king bed was not available, so they were going to give us a room with a queen bed and a better view, which was fine with us. However, that room did not have a mini fridge, so they upgraded us to a suite with full kitchen. This worked out great for us since I was able to work late in the evening without disturbing my wife who went to bed in the separate bedroom, plus we had some extra living space during the daytime. The inner harbour, the museum, and all the other tourist attractions are within a few blocks. There is a great steak restaurant and a very nice cafe for breakfast within the hotel, plus very good restaurants across the street, and more within easy walking distance. We will definitely be back - especially if we can get the discount again!

The location of the hotel was excellent- walking distance to everything. We were there for 3 days and only used the car once to do a scenic drive. We have 2 small children and got the one bedroom suite. It was an ideal set up. There was a large living room area with a pull out couch that the kids slept on. We had a separate bedroom with a door that closed- that was perfect since the kids go to bed early and we wanted to watch a movie. Had we been in a double room it would of been lights off for everyone at 9:00. The kitchen was ideal since we were able to eat in the room a few times. The first night we tried to go out to eat we made the mistake of going too late and the kids were tired. So the next day after a full day of walking around we found it easier to get some food from the local supermarket and eat in the room. Most of the hotels in Victoria DO NOT have air conditioning. This was one of those hotels. When I first walked in the room it was hot and stuffy. We opened the windows in the bedroom and the sliding door in the living room and within a few hours the room was cool. They did have one fan in the room but we requested another to be send up so the kids would have one to. My one complaint was there was no ceiling fan in the bathroom and the fresh air did not circulate back there so that room stayed a bit stuffy. You may want to request a room on the side facing the water so you get more of a direct breeze. The hotel staff was excellent. We forgot to put out the please make up room sign. Normally we prefer not to have maid service but this time we really needed toliet paper and a 4th towel. Upon entering the room and noticing no maid had come in I called down to the desk and requested that toliet paper and a towel was brought up ASAP. They came up within 5 minutes. All in all we will be staying here again.

clean, located convinienly

This hotel was much better than we had expected. The pictures don't do it justice. All of the employees were very polite. Room was very clean. The only complaints we have are that we only got soap once for the three days we were there. And the neighborhood was a bit noisy, but it's the city and too be expected.

What a perfect location. We were mere steps from the best of Victoria. Across the street from the Empress and convention center, a couple of blocks from the inner harbor, museum, and fine restaurants, we were able to park our car and enjoy Victoria without the hassles of driving and parking. The only thing we drove to were Butchart gardens and the Castle.

Executive house is a very guest friendly hotel. They really went above and beyond as there was a mix up with the reservation and they made it right. Everyone was consistently friendly, and helpful. the location is only two blocks from the Victoria museum, so everything in the Inner Harbor area is within easy walking distance. The rooms also are great. floor to ceiling windows in our room. Will stay here again.

the location was great. You can walk just about everywhere. the staff had good suggestions for what to see.

The best thing by far is it's location to the wharf and downtown. We paid an extra $30.00 per night to get a room with a balcony on the 10th floor. They were going to give us a room on the first floor which may of been too noisey. Victoria is expensive place to eat if you want to go to a nice resturant. At one place a "basic" Angus hamburger with cheese was $15.99. A two piece of Pacific cod with creamy cole slaw and seasoned fries was $23.99.

We found the hotel to be very nice with a great location. It was also a very good value.

The hotel has a great location. The innner harbor, museum, IMAX all are walking distance from the hotel. The view from the hotel was also exceptional. The only downfall was the room. It could have been better. First of all, there is no air conditioning and we went during the summer. At night it cools down, so you needed a fan and open windows to sleep comfortably. When you open the windows, you can hear all kind of street noise which in turn, can make it hard to sleep. The beds and pillows could have been a lot more comfortable. The small kitchenette and large fridge is a plus. A few upgrades to the room and this could be a great stay!

It was about 104 degrees F during the week I was in Victoria and this hotel had no air conditioning. I was sweltering and very uncomfortable. I was on the 7th floor and below me was the courtyard for one of the restaurants. They often had live music that played into the night and because of the heat, I had to keep my windows open, hence, I did not sleep very well. The staff did provide me with a fan and for cooler months, this would be a terrific bargain.

Clean room, but somewhat dated decor

This is a great hotel at a bargain price, located right in the heart of the Inner Harbour area, so you can walk almost anywhere from the hotel. It's not ultra-modern, but it has everything the chain hotels offer at a much better price. They are still finishing up construction work on a high-rise across the street, but noise is not that much of a problem at this point. If you have a car, the hotel only charges $4 a night for parking. The one-bedroom suite was spacious, like a small apartment, and includes a kitchen with all the supplies needed to cook your own meal. The room was clean and the beds were confortable. There are several restaurants on site, but we didn't get the chance to try them. We liked it here so much we booked a third night.

The staff was good and the room was sufficent. Room was not real large, but it does the job for two. The location is the great part ... we saw it all on foot from the hotel.

This hotel has a great location, one block from the bus station. The rooms were adequate in size. The room was kept clean and supplied well. The only draw backs were the construction going on across the street and rooms had no AC. We talked to the staff and they quickly moved us to a room not exposed to the construction. The lack of AC generally was not a problem since we were out most of the day and the nights were cool. So opening the window was sufficient.

On arrival we upgraded from the second floor of the hotel to the 12th floor. From the 12th floor we had a wonderful view over the Empress hotel to the government buildings, the BC Museum, and the shipping lanes of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. We had brought binoculars with us and had a constantly changing and beautiful scenery to watch. We ate severla times in the hotel and found the food and service to be excellent.

This is a clean and bright hotel, unexciting to look at from the outside, but we had a great view from our room over the town and down to the sea. Best thing was the location: less than 5 mins walk from coach station if arriving from Vancouver by bus/ferry; 5 mins walk to harbour for boat trips etc; 5 mins to seaplane terminal if leaving/arriving from Vancouver by air; 5 mins to waterfront, shops, restaurants etc. Yet inside the hotel it was quiet.

The room was kind of on the small side but was very clean. For the price I paid, I expected the room to have A/C or at least a mini fridge or microwave. The weather was quite warm and the only way to get some ventilation was to open the small window and hence get an earful of construction noise from a site across the street (this is why the A/C would have been handy and made for a quieter stay). The staff was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. And the room service steak sandwich was very good.

Our room needed updating, from the worn, stained carpets to the stained sink and old laminate countertops. There was dust on the TV armoire and the baseboards. The bedspread looked dated and had seen better days. The beds were lumpy and the pillows sunk down to nothing; fortunately housekeeping was prompt with the request for extra pillows. We also requested 2 more towels after seeing only 2 in the bathroom for a room with 2 adults and 2 children. On the good side, parking was only $4 and the location was excellent: one block from the Royal BC Museum and the Fairmont Empress, 2-3 blocks from the Legislative Bldgs and Inner Harbor. If you don't mind sub-par lodging in a great location, this is for you.

While this hotel was not great, it was great value for the money. It is in a good location, close to the inner harbor and Royal BC Museum. The room was small, but we had a nice view of the harbor. The hotel has multiple restaurants on site. There is a new building across the street being built, so there is some noise, but that should be expected and it was not overly annoying. Overall, a great hotel for the price. Which was a good deal, considering the location and the overall expense of Victoria

Right behind the Empress and one third the price this quaint hotel was a bargain. Rooms are smallish and they only suplied towels for two people when we paid extra for four people the value was great. Parking only $4 a night.

Very nice room, in an excellent location. Defiantly worth the money!

Coming from Vancouver by bus this hotel was just across the street from the bus depot - close to Fairmont Empress, where we went to high tea. City tours were within walking distance, it was a perfect location. Hotel was clean, a lovely view of the city especially at night, location was perfect for us!

Executive House is an older Victoria hotel but the room was well-maintained, clean and roomy for our family. The kitchen was adequate. There was construction across the street but we weren't inconvenienced in any way. We would stay there again.

Last summer my daughter and I stayed at this hotel, had a suite, and were very pleased despite the horrible construction noise. We were checked in at 10:30 AM. This March I decided to stay 1 or 2 nights but in a standard room. This time the lady would not let me into my room until 3 PM. I was very cold and finally went to a movie so I could get warm. I arrived back at 4 PM and the staff treated me well. I cut my stay to 1 day because of how I was treated. I checked in at 4 and left at 9 AM the following day. The hotel has few guest in the winter and I would have appreciated being given a full 24 hours and more importantly being able to get warm. I'm not sure if I will return.

Terrific location, suite was well equipped for doing our own cooking, though we took advantage of the downtown eateries most of the time. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. And given the rate provided by Hotel.com, we could not have asked for anything more. And don't miss out on the Polo Lounge for happy hour!

Was a great getaway for the Christmas Holidays. Hotel was convenient to all downtown activities; shopping, dining, IMAX, bus to Butchart Gardens. Will definitely stay there again in the future. And the rate was a true bargain. Hotel staff friendly and courteous.

We came here during offseason (mid October) and they’re constructing a new hotel next door. The construction started every morning around 7:30. Besides that, though, this was an excellent place to stay. Nice space, pretty view from the 10th floor. Helpful, courteous staff. Nice atmosphere overall, particularly in the lobby. The kitchenette came in very handy throughout the stay. We had a family of five and felt that we had enough room to move around. It felt very homey, not like a hotel.

This hotel is located in downtown and right in the middle of a construction boom (getting ready for 2010 Winter Olypic). The noise starts at 6:00 AM and last until 10:00 PM. The room is tiny and the sound insulation is non-existence (I don't think the owner realize that there's such a thing called double-paned window). The service level is sub-standard. Basically, it's no better than a Motel-6, once you check in !!!

The hotel is a good value for the cost. The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. Our King-standard room was a bit snug, but sufficient. There is construction on two condo buildings on either side of the hotel, so don't plan on sleeping in. The noise level is quite irritating, but unavoidable since it's occurring on both sides of the hotel. The location is within walking distance of all downtown attractions and plenty of shopping.

The hotel was within walking distance of the museum, shops and restaurants. It was quiet, clean and very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to supply us with information on transportation to the Buchart Gardens, and ferries. We recommend it highly. Hotel is in a good location and felt safe walking in the evening in the neighborhood.

I would stay here again. I liked the location and the staff was very helpful.

I am very pleased with the stay in this hotel. It is an older boutique type hotel but for a good discount price which we received I think it was a bargain. We stayed in a large suite with a full kitchen and pull out sofa in a living room so 4 people (two were kids) stayed comfortable. They decor is bit dated but very clean and comfortable. Location is excellent, easy walking distance close to waterfront, stores and museums. The only drawback was bit noise on streets on Sat late night and construction across the street on Mon 7 am but that might be true for any busy downtown location.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Close to everything downtown. Highly recomended
