The Belvedere Hotel - New York

Schoon hotel, met ruime kamer. Elke dag schone handdoeken. Prettig om 's ochtends zelf even koffie of thee te kunnen zetten, dit wordt ook elke dag bijgevuld. Ligging is perfect.. Links loop je naar Broadway en het altijd overvolle Times Square en loop je naar rechts dan kom je terecht op 9th Av, waar de keus in restaurants gigantisch is. Metrostation is op korte afstand van het hotel 8th Av 50 St. Het is geen probleem om ná het uitchecken je koffers in het hotel achter te laten totdat je naar het vliegveld gaat.

Goed hotel, schone ruime kamers. Heel prettig is het keukenblokje met koelkast, magnetron en koffiezetapparaat. Je eet wel altijd buiten de deur, maar het is prettig wat koud water of melk op de kamer te hebben en 's ochtends een kopje koffie.

In the middle of everything (where all hapens) but still quiet. Only couple of minutes wals from the Times Square, 10 min from Central Park or 5 min to Subway.

Perfect centraal gelegen bij Broadway, theaters om de hoek. Comfortabel en prettig hotel. Je kunt gebruik maken van de trap en de lift en de ramen kunnen op de kamers open. Ik neem bijv. geen lift. Als je een liefhebber van theater bent is dit een hotel bij uitstek. De Hop-on Hop-off bus stopt om de hoek. De ticketbooth in het hotel is erg professioneel en regelt alle toeristische zaken of kaarten voor een theatervoorstelling.

Uitstekend hotel. King kamer had koffieapparaat en kleine koelkast, kluisje, gratis wifi en zeer comfortabel bed, en meer. Voor slechte slapers is het wel aan te raden om oordopjes mee te nemen; airco en koelkast zijn nogal rumoerig. Er is geen bar en alleen een ontbijtbuffet welke redelijk aan de prijs is. Beter en goedkoop is het ontbijten bij Olympic, om de hoek op 8th ave.

Ik heb voor dit hotel gekozen omdat je met 4 personen op 1 kamer kan slapen. De twin bedden zijn klein maar voor een paar nachten prima. De kamers zijn eenvoudig maar toch compleet en zeer netjes. In het hotel bevind zich tvens een goed uitgerust finess centre waar je 24 per dag kan trainen. De staff is erg behulpzaam, eigenlijk niets negatiefs te zeggen over dit hotel. Attrracties zoals broadway, times square, fitth avenue, rockefeller centre, empire state building zijn op loopafstand en de metrohalte naar lower en upper manhattan is nog geen 5 minuten lopen. Wij hebben niet ontbeten in het hotel dat kan je nl veel goedkoper doen (5 dollar) bij 1 van de vele deli's.

Wat erg goed beviel is het (kleine) keukentje : een koelkastje, een Magnetron en een koffiezetapparaatje. We hadden zelf al thee meegenomen want je krijgt inderdaad alleen koffie. We vonden de kamer ook erg schoon en voldoende ruim. Badkamer niet te klein, lekkere straal onder de douche. Enige min-puntje : de kachel, ook al hadden we 'm uit, 's nachts maakten de buizen erg veel kabaal. Maar dat was de enige geluidsoverlast.

Prima hotel, aardig personeel op super locatie. Kamers niet modern, maar netjes. Belangrijk voor NY is de locatie en die is voor de prijs echt heel erg goed.

Locatie is perfect, dichtbij Times Square. Kamers waren erg warm, bedden iets te hard. Badkamer eenvoudig. Wel schoon en geen lawaai-overlast. Personeel vriendelijk. Ontbijt prima. Je kunt je koffer gratis en bewaakt achterlaten zodat je op de dag van vertrek nog even de stad in kunt...

Zeer goed gelegen, een goede prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding. Degelijke bedden. Aanbevelenswaardig.

Dit hotel is een prima accomodatie, tamelijk centraal in Manhattan. Is uitstekend te bereiken via de New York Airportservice. We werden per busvervoer van JFK naar het hotel gebracht. Het hotel is goed onderhouden en de staf en het personeel zijn vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Onze kamer had een extra zijraam, waardoor we uitzicht hadden tot op de Hudsonriver. De kamer was voorzien van kitchenette en voor New-Yorkse begrippen ruim. De muur- en vloerisolatie was uitstekend. Er was niets te horen van andere kamers of gasten. Op de gang waren 4 liften, die weliswaar langzaam, maar verder goed werkten. Er was draadloos internet, dat echter betaald moest worden. Alleen de bevoorrading in de vroege ochtenduren was soms luidruchtig door de vrachtauto's, maar leverde verder geen frustratie op. Het hotel is een aanrader voor New Yorkgangers. Een eerder gebruikt hotel, zuidelijker in Manhattan, kon niet tippen aan deze hotelaccomocatie. Metrostation is op korte afstand.

Net hotel, vriendelijk personeel. Kamers zijn redelijk, bedden zijn keihard en tv is oud. Kleine badkamer.

Heerlijk hotel met uitstekende service en bijzonder vriendelijk personeel. Op alle vragen een goed antwoord en duidelijk advies wat je wel en beter niet kunt doen.Zeer ruime kamer met 2 ultra kingsize bedden, badkamer kon iets groter, maar ja daar verblijf je niet de hele dag in. Mini keuken met microwave, koffiezetapp. en koelkast aanwezig en aparte spoelbak. Ontbijt apart betalen, zeer ruime keus en mild van prijs.

Personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam, prima ligging. Minpunt een airco die lawaai maakt als een vliegtuig.

Prachtig uitzicht, heerlijke bedden, aardige mensen en handige locatie voor het bezoeken van bezienswaardigheden.

The Belvedere is situated in a quiet street not far from Time Square in a very convient location, with plenty of restaurants and eating places just around the corner. Also, just round the corner is the TIC booking office and it is also close to the hop on/hop off bus stops. The staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again. In fact ,aready planning a return trip next year.

Comfortable hotel only a five minute walk to Times Square ,and a short walk to all theatres on broadway. We stayed on the 14th floor and had no noise from street below.

Couldn,t fault the hotel. Room was very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Location was good with the hotel only being a 10 minute walk from Time Square.

I don't know why bother this place can not be fit for man nor animal. All carpet dirty, not enough elevators, sheets dirty.

The hotel is very well located. The hallway is nicer than everything else. Elevators and bathrooms are very very tine. You can wait for a long time for elevators and get very crowed after long waiting. The room is small but enough for 3 people. Beds seems to be full size so expect to a bad night of sleep if share the bed...Ah, and fan in the bathroom didn't work and there wasn't hair dryier. If you are not picky, that's the hotel for you.

We were extremely satisfied and pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and very attractive and the location was great and the price was great. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly !!

We found this hotel to be everything we had hoped for - with none of the expected 'snags' at all! The lifts worked perfectly - we never had to wait for more than a few seconds for one during our whole stay. The staff were without fail attentive and helpful and the location was superb. We will definately use this hotel should we return to NY in the future. We were a couple with 2 teenagers (17 yr old boys), and found the room big enough for our needs. The bathroom although small was spotless and the little kitchenette came in useful too.

Our room was spacious but had a tiny almost unfunctional bathroom. The room had 2 beds. One had a standard mattess and box spring which was perfectly comfortable. The other one had no box spring, just an extremely deep mattress that the fitted sheets didn't fit and which was as hard as a rock - the floor would have been more comfortable. It left me sore.

You basically get what you pay for, the room was clean, however it was small, the interior design average, i would recommend upgrading to the executive king or queen if you want a romantic getaway but standard room should be fine for those who just want a room.

Hotel was in a great location, very near to the madness of Time Square and Broadway but far enough away to feel like you've escaped for a little while. Service was excellent and always with a smile. Hotel and rooms were spotless. Concierges were fantastic and helped us to find everything we needed, including Broadway tickets and a Stetson hat shop on 5th Avenue!

The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Ours included a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker which was an added bonus. Enjoyed everything about our stay except the water situation when showering. We experienced frequent hot/cold serges making showering not a good experience.

Had a great one-night stay following a cruise before flying home. Midtown location perfect for theater, and lots of restaurants are nearby. Based on other reviews, we upgraded to executive room. It was LOVELY...with comfortable beds, great A/C, et. Highly recommend.

Great location near Time Square. Room was really tight and narrow. The A/C was a window unit and a dripping sound drove us nuts all night. With the unit being in the window, the curtains could not be closed all the way. No way to keep out the light during the night and in the morning. Also, the TV next door was on the same wall as our bed so we could hear it all night too.

This hotel is the perfect distance from Times Square, just a couple blocks to walk but you're away from all the noise. We stayed on the top floor of the Belvedere, and our room was so quiet. They have great "darkening" curtains too. Slept like a rock. The bathrooms were all marble and very clean. Overall Great hotel.

I was expecting a higher level of service and room accomodation for the reviews I had read and for the price. We had issues from day one and each day was another new issue - ranging from water pressure switching from scalding to freezing cold (required water shut off) and subsequent room change. The new room had a poor (at best) draining tub, which required maintenance. The beds were not comfortable and I was dissatisfied overall with hotel stay.

Good room, a/c was a little weak but the room was clean and comfortable. One odd thing was that the pillow cases were wrinkled which made me think they didn't change them. All in all, the service was great.

Location to Times Square and the Theater District is great! Very nice, quiet surroundings.

Quick and attentive service. Great location for first time in NYC - downtown Manhattan. Bus tours right on the corner.

The room was fine EXCEPT the bathroom. It was so small that you had to turn sideways to get into the room to close the door. You knees were up against the door when you sat on the toilet (Sorry if that's too much info). The staff was extremely nice and helpful. It is very well located if you plan on doing plays. It's a little far for 5th Ave and Central Park.

This Hotel is in a great location. Just blocks from Times Square, Subway stops, Theaters, and Restaurants. There was a window air conditioner that didn't quite do the job in the 90 degree heat. The maid decided it would be a good idea to turn it off when she cleaned our room.... We were able to get into our room upon arrival at 9:00am which was a major plus.

The Belvedere exceeded my expectations in cleanliness and upkeep. The location was perfect, being just a little off the beaten path.

My only 2 beefs is that broadway shows will cost you much more buying through the concierge, and for the money my room was too small, my kids were right on top of me. The valet is very much New York priced. But my family had a really good time. Walking distance to everything you want to see. The hotel is in prime local, but next time Ill just get 2 rooms.

Rooms are New York City small but very clean. Service was polite and helpful. Excellent location near Time's Square and Theaters.

When we arrived there was a mix-up on our room. They gave us a room with a queen bed, which is not what we booked. That room seemed small, but by NYC standards, was probably average size hotel room. After speaking to front desk, we were moved to the King Executive suite we reserved, which was very nice and spacious. Great prices for NYC. Rooms were clean, nicely decorated. Coffee, refridge. and microwave were nice features to have in the morning. Our only complaint was the elevators seemed a little slow. Especially during busy hours. Overall, we loved this hotel's location to resturants, theatre, night-life. Very easy walk to Time Square, theatres, and subway.

Very pleased with the hotel, particularly the convenience to Times Square, subways, restaurants etc. As far as "comfort" goes, I have the same complaint...."mattresses were hard"! But we were so tired at the end of the day that it didn't matter. I would definitely stay there again.

The Belvedere exceeded our expectations. Conviently located with plenty of eateries nearby. Check out Amy's Bread for breakfast. The staff was friendly, polite and extremely helpful. They even offered to store our backpacks after we had checked out so we could still do some sightseeing before catching the train home. I would definitely recommend the Belvedere to anyone especially first time visitors to NYC.

The convenience of a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker is very unusual in NYC. Only problem we had was the breaker switched everything off if we tried to use the hair dryer with the air conditioner on. Would definitely stay again.

This is the second time that we have stayed at this hotel over the past several years. We have never been disappointed.
