The location is the most beautiful part of the hotel! The front door service and in general the hospitality service is very good! Nice set up and rooms.

Loved the hotel, but would consider staying in a property in Whistler Village versus this hotel being in Blackcomb - only a 10 minute walk, but everything we wanted to do was at Whistler Village in the summer at least.

Stayed here for 9 nights to access the Whistler/Blackcomb ski-ing. Room was comfortable though rather dated - not like the picture. However, location of ski lift and the ski/boot storage facility was great. Service was let down by 3 factors: Took several conversations to get gowns and slippers sent to room (essential if you wanted to use hot tubs). Also, I had a nightshirt scooped up accidentally when sheets were changed - this disappeared into the ether and no proper apology was received and an agreed amount for compensation had to be 'haggled for' as we settled the final bill. Lastly, the hotel directs you to the pools/hot tubs via a 3rd floor dodgy staircase - don't. Access these facilities from the main lobby - nicer and safer. Lastly, while the location is good, there is not much happening in Blackcomb and not many bars/restaurants to wander out to. Which ties you to either eating in the hotel (expensive), taking the hotel bus to Whistler or walking into Whistler - only 10 minutes. Whistler village has a lot more going on, but of course is nosier. You pays your money and takes your choice.

Excellent service, beautiful hotel, conveniently located. One disappointment - the parking at the hotel was very expensive. It should have been included in the price of the stay.

Overall the hotel was satisfactory but the if you stay on high floor the plumbing has issues. Our sink overflowed and backed up with horrible garbage from the floor either above of next to us. The toilet then overflowed. At no time did the hotel offer us any considerations for this inconvinience. It was a mess. The spa is very underwhelming--overpriced. The workout room however is much nicer and the hot tubs inside and out are nice.

A lovely place to stay with top-notch service and family friendly. Even owner's dogs are allowed to stay in the rooms. The life-side location is perfect for skiing.

The resort was beautiful and luxurious. Service was impecable with friendly service with a smile. Beautiful views slope side or valley view. We roomed in a delux room, which was spacious, with a newly renovated bathroom. Unfortunately, the air was musty and dusty, with visible dust on lamp shades, telephone and leather chair. A refrigerator, microwave and crib were brought to the room, in fact the bell hop insisted he ensure a refrigerator be brought up as the ones in the room was more of a cooler. I appreciated that he knew we would require milk to be cold enough since we traveled with an infant. However,the first microwave they brought up was broken down, with a broken door opener, no turn table and inoperable time knob. the second one they brought up the next day worked better, but still without a turntable.

My son and I recently stated at the Fairmont in Whistler, I must say the staff and service was the best I have ever recieved. I have stayed in all the nice hotels at Whistler and nobody has touched the service that we recieved. from things to do and places to go, to sending us off with cookies and water for the drive home. I highly recomend this hotel

Would like to say that we went there with a big idea of seeing a beautiful room with all the amenities, I mean, something very different from other "motels". This is exactly what we saw when we opened the room door, a bathroom to the left which is no better than any other bathroom in any ** or *** hotels, just the same bathtub, same shower, same sink, well..what about "fairmont" name?. Next, the furnitures are so old looking, for a moment I thought maybe that is the "in" thing these days :). The TV is also old, I have stayed on other hotels before and even the lesser known ones have big, nice flat planel TVs that are great. Now, this OLD tv sits inside a wooden cabin which is halfway between two beds(maybe if you take room with one bed, it makes more sense) so one of us sat on one edge of the bed and the other sat on the other edge of the bed to watch the tv. Now, I checked if they have internet for "free", you know, like all the hotels where they provide "free fast" internet access but I was told I had to pay 14.95 per day. Wow, that is almost my month's internet bill. Locationwise and service, the hotel is among some of the best, everyone were cheerful, the rooms and also the hotel is kept neat. This place is located very close to all amenities.

The Fairmont Chateau Hotel exceeded our expectations. I was a Hotel Manager at a Five Star Hotel in Las Vegas and this hotel exceeded my expectations. The service was excellent and the amenities were superb. We would recommend this hotel to all who are visiting Whistler. Awesome!

Awesome hotel and location, but lots of expenses you wouldnt think of..they'll get as much money from you everystep of the way. For example, $25.00 for parking a night $30.00 breakfast buffet $6.00 Latte Overall though, it was well worth it.

We enjoyed a night in a moderate room while waiting for our timeshare check-in. The amenities are many and of the highest quality. The Spa, Pool, and workout area was expansive and the locker rooms well stocked. The valet parking and ski storage was quick and efficient and exited to the steps of the ski slope. The one thing we didn't expect was the amount of families staying at the Fairmont. There were a fair amount of small children throughout, even in the bar with their parents. I found it obtrusive having children in a location that should be reserved for adults. Other than that, it was a great stay.

We chose this hotel for the offer at the time and upon getting there, were totally blown away by the quality of their service. The Beds in the rooms were the best we'd stayed in in British Columbia, the views absolutely breathtaking from the room and just. Well, just wow. Because it was earlier in the season for Whistler and Blackcomb, we were treated like royalty and driven around back and forth to the Village centre which made for a very pleasant, unexpected convienience. They have a shuttle every twenty mins when they were busier. Have to say the Mallard bar was a little more expensive than we'd anticipated. Also the hotel is so close to the base of Blackcomb, its so easy with the skiing and boarding.

The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and the location was great; within a short walk of one of the ski lifts. We also made use of the indoor and outdoor heated pools and hot tubs. The only downside was that parking is $24 and wireless internet access was $14.95, both of which I found to be a little on the high side.

The Fairmont Whistler was an all around great expirience. The service was outstanding and the ammenities like health spa was great. The Avida Spa in the hotel is a must do. The only negative was that the coffee pot and water heater was dirty. Other than that it was a perfect romantic getaway.

Our hotel and room were very nice, however a little crowded in our room for two adults and two children. The property is lovely, the pool much smaller than the pictures. Service was fine. However, everything outside of the hotel room cost was exceedingly expensive - from parking ($25/day) to cocktails in the lounge. There is an excellent and reasonably priced restaurant - Portobello - that had tasty food for breakfast and lunch, unfortunately closed for dinner. Location of hotel to beautiful walks and town was excellent.

It was one of the best places we have visited. Excellent staff,ammenities and very clean. There was nothing to complain about. We stayed in a Fairmont gold room which included a wonderful breakfast and happy hour (honor bar). Whatever your need, someone was always available to help. If you are driving from Seattle or somewhere else, there is alot of road construction going on in preparation for 2010 olympics, but once there it is worth it. Also hotel is in great location, you can walk anywhere. Very family and pet friendly. A great vacation!! Diane

What a gorgeous hotel! Not a bad view anywhere. The bedding and decor was top-notch. Extra customer service great. So close to all attractions, right at base of Whistler/Blackcombe lifts. Tons of near by restaurants. Enjoyed one of the 4 large hot tubs.

Absolutely gorgeous setting at the base of Blackcomb, however, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room...literally an inch of dust all over, including the headboard. The room looked like it had not been cleaned or stayed in for months - dust and grime everywhere. The air vents were filthy and unhealthy. Even cream in the refrigerator curdled. Room outdated, which was okay ... but being dirty was not. Mattress completely worn out. Room rate was very reasonable for a "resort", but I've stayed at one/two star motels that were cleaner. The staff WAS helpful and accommodating. The manager seemed surprised, and quickly offerred a room upgrade to a more recently upgraded (and quite a bit cleaner) room the 2nd night. The more we looked around, we even thought the lobby was dusty. Friendly, courteous shuttle service around town. Great location, especially for Sunday Farmer's Market. Breathtaking views, gorgeous scenery. Super live music in lounge. Overall fantastic setting.

The hotel was really lovely with great facilities. My only complaint was the size of my room on the top floor. It was a Queen room tucked under a dormer that was beautifully furnished and in great shape, but so small that I had to pack my suitcase in the hallway! Other friends had much larger rooms.

Even though the room rate was good I should have known that there would be a $24 daily parking charge and that a very basic meal was quite pricey. It cost me $49 for a quesadilla, glass of house red wine and a dessert.

One thing I was not happy with was when I checked out I was told at that time there would be a $40.00 charge to my credit card for 2 days of parking, $20 per day. I was never told of this charge when we checked in and when I asked if there was anywhere to park for free they said no.

The king bed in our room was completely worn out and sagging in the middle. Instead of replacing it, they had placed a piece of plywood between the mattress and springs, which still left it sagging. When we arrived, a packet was brought to our room by a bellman, which contained another couple's itinerary for a trip across Canada. Our name was listed in the hotel's computer as the people to receive it. When we checked out, the amount Hotels.com had paid the hotel for the room was added to our bill, which, although interesting, was another instance of administrative incompetence. The food was outrageously expensive, which we expected. But we did expect it to be good, which it wasn't.
