Pan Pacific Vancouver - Vancouver

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff was helpful and courteous. We did go out into the city looking for small restaurants in the evening and found that only the more expensive ones were open at night in this area. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Some construction going on presented a little obstruction to what otherwise would have been a beautiful lobby.

Stayed in Room 907 with a view of the City, Fairmont Hotel/swimming pool, Canada Place and Harbour. We really enjoyed our stay. Loved having a phone in the bathroom. You won't be disappointed if you stay at Pan Pacific.

Convenient to ferries and down town. Great accomodations.

We had a great view of the harbor from our room, watching the sea planes take off and land was great.

The Pan Pacific is the ideal hotel when you visit Vancouver especially in summer. We had the Harbor View room and was worth it. You felt like you we outside when in room because of he beautiful view of the harbor and mountains. Overlooked the pool area- one of the few places on harbor with an outdoor pool. The food court that is accessible from Ground level of hotel was so convenient and prices reasonable for everyday breakfast(go to Pita Express) and to grab a quick bite when on the go. We were there for the World Police and Fire Games-so being right next to the convention center for registration was so convenient. Rooms were comfortable. Pool was nice. Some construction going on on lower level but did not really interfer with anything we did. I highly recommend this hotel if want to enjoy the best of Vancouver's city life and scenic views. Watched sea plans take off and land , and cruise ships come and go from room window.

The Pan Pacific Vancouver is an amazing hotel. We stay there whenever in that city. The rooms are large, beautiful and exceptionally well appointed. My only negative is that a hotel of this caliber and at this price point should have free computer access, not charge $14.95 daily.

Expensive, but worth it if you get a room with the awesome sunrise and sunset views of the outer harbor.

Modern hotel in wonderful waterfront location. Excellent rooms, some with spectacular harbour and mountain views. Let down by queues to check-in, check-out and eat! Didn't manage to get breakfast on both mornings stayed because of queues (20 minutes plus wait unacceptable)

I thought the location of this hotel was perfect. We walk everywhere. We paid for a harbor view room which is a most if you can afford it. We watched the seaplanes and crise ships come and go. The view of the mountains was beautiful. Each morning I would go for a run and the bellman would have a cold water and a towel waiting in hand...nice touch! I would stay at the Pan Pacific again and again.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Vancouver! Great being on the water!

The Pan Pacific Hotel was beyond our expectation. We stayed one night on each end of a cruise. The service by the bell-hop was wonderful. Not only did he deliver our bags to our room, but he also took our bags to the cruise terminal. The check-in staff were extremely helpful by allowing us to keep our bags secured until our room was ready. We went out for a walking tour of Vancouver. The receptionist called us on our cell phone to tell us that our room was ready. I would highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disapppointed.

The hotel was wonderful, great comfortable rooms, nice restaurants, and pool . Great Location with a wonderful view , close to everthing, within walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, sight seeing and public transportation . The hotel staff was wonderful, well trained, well educated and very friendly.

We were told by our Cruise provider that this hotel, next to the peir, would make boarding our cruise ship quite easy. Since my husband has a heart condition that sounded perfect. Except it was the wrong pier! We needed a taxi and waiting in a long line (with the meter running) just to get our luggage to the pier. But if we had to make a mistake, it was a "wonderful mistake" with 2 1/2 days in a most lovely hotel with a great location in Vancouver. But just be sure to check your pier before booking!

Our city view consisted of the railroad tracts and a little bit of the harbor. For the price, I hoped to see a pretty city skyline or some of the harbor. The hotel was lovely, just disappointed in the view from our room.

Great stay, warm staff and great price for terrific views of the city and great location to most activities.

Hotel offered upgrade a nominal per night increase. Suite was wonderful, given construction activity and lack of spa and other deficiencies it was not unreasonable to get the upgraded room at the price mentioned. Three people heard the same thing person checking us in. At check out the story changed to added per night above our rate. They fooled me once, shame on them. Hope you do not fall in the same trap. Do not take an upgrade without a complete statement of the cost including the Hotel.com charge. The hotel manager indicated the website states the construction, Hotel.com does not. So visit the actual hotels website to verify the prices.

This hotel is attached to the Canada Place exposition center. It is walking distance to several wonderful restaurants and the Coal Harbor Marina. On the first morning, my wife woke me to find out what the sound was that came from the harbor. It was float planes taking off and landing on the water. The sound was not very loud, but it did catch her off guard before she opened the drapes. There is no need for a rental car if you are willing to walk around the very clean and safe area. We were able to walk down to the aviation center and catch a sea plane over to Victoria for a day trip that included lunch, whale watching, and dinner before being deposited just a few blocks from the hotel by our return flight. The location was great and our experiences dining in the hotel just reinforced our impression of the level of service we received.

Shortly after checking in my wife became increasingly ill so we tried to talk to the hotel to cancel the next night and did not find any cooperation. The next afternoon we received a letter informing us that the hotel’s electric would be shut down at midnight and be off till around five am. We call down immediately and said we would like to change hotels because we could not take a chance since we needed to be up and getting ready at 5am. Again there response was to bring us glow sticks and a flash light. That night was terrible. At midnight we woke up and then at 2am when electric came back on and again at 3 and 3:17 and stayed awake the rest of the night. After informing the hotel we found no satisfaction.

Nice location with good view and good price. Very friendly hotel staff except not very cooperative or rather rude concierage. I will definitly recommend this hotel and would like to stay again.

The hotel is a beautiful and very comfortable. It didn't make me feel like I was at a hotel... felt like I was at home the whole time. Parking fee is slightly high but it's located very close to the sky train so you'll save money on gas and parking around the town.

Top on my list of great hotels... fast room service and very caring to go above... I had a broken foot that they helped me freeze the ice packs and change them out every 4 hrs... great service.

Wow - we had booked 3 rooms for My Parents 50 anniversary trip that started at the hotel... they were AWESOME. This was well worth the money and I would stay there again, and recommend it to all my friends that will be in the city. THANKS for making this trip the best ever!

The hotel has a breath-taking view of the mountains, hills and the harbour. Very romantic and relaxing. The rooms were clean. The staff at the reception desk were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

We got a good deal to stay the weekend at this hotel. Great location with fabulous views and many city attractions in walking distance (eg Robson St shopping, Water St, and seaplane rides) Bedroom, especially the bed, very comfortable. The only negative was a slight lack of full function at the weekend - clearly this hotel is busier in the week for business and conferences. For example, the buffet breakfast, although full price, was rather limited in choice - no egg station, and limited choice of hot food.

Clean , tidy, great location, fantastic views (we had a inner harbour view room that overlooked Stanley Park too). Pretty expensive, but if you can get a good deal i would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed three nights in this quality hotel. Slightly expensive but value for money. Food was exceptionally good and surprisingly competitively. Wine and bar very expensive. Valet parking a significant extra

Top notch service, first class all the way. Room Service, Bellmen, and all ammenities you could ask for. Spotless, roomy and very comfortable with seating area, work area, sleep area, large roomy bath and wonderful view of city. On site restaurant was good food but extremely pricy. Room service was "white tablecloth service" with full set up and priced same as restaurant. Very good location, easy taxi service and walk to much of city. Great view of water. Would definately stay again.

Very nice hotel, but not very personal, at a large convention center, somewhat sterile

The first problem encountered was with the room. An upgrade to a luxury room with inner harbour view had been booked prior to check in. However, the view from the room was ver disappointing being of the docks and rail yard. We changed to a standard room located on the other side of the hotel (paying an increased rate rate!) and got the view we hoped for. The attitude of the front desk was dismissive. However, they eventually accepted that the Hotel's description of an inner harbour view was misleading. Overall feel of the hotel was it was pretentious and lacking the special quality you would expect from a top quality hotel. We dinned in the hotel "5 Sails" and were disappointed with the quality of the food. It was ok, but no better and not the expeirence we had been led to believe and had hoped for. On a more positive note the hotel had a number of small shops, including a jewellers which sold old/antique objects at a reasonable price.

Wonderful hotel, great view and service. Close to everything, including public transportation.

Ok, We got a great price from Hotels.com... it really felt like the Pan Pacific knew we got a great price and gave us a room accordingly... with a commanding view of the city's Rail Road hub station. (yuck!) I mean, it's a nice hotel, but very very expensive for what you got. The rooms were small and the service was... just o.k. Oh, did I mention, they were also doing construction near our room, so we got to hear that during our vacation?!

seemed like the hotel barely made its star rating by specifically going for the features required. restaurant foods were nice - specially breakfast menu. i-max in the same building and being right at the pier was very nice - i wish the weather was little better. anyways, there weren't any extra-ordinary feature or experience. bathroom tiles near the tub had black molds. all the air vents weren't probably cleaned for last six months - they were filthy. swimming pool was closed due to weather, but seemed very small anyways (about 15x20). for the price i have paid, i probably couldn't gotten more at other places.

Location is great (right next to water front, ferries, train, downtown). Nice outdoor swimming pool and jacuzy on 8th floor. Restaurant (Five sails) was costly, although food was ok. Cascade launge was good. Service was great.

This is a great hotel and centrally located to explore Vancouver. Our room was generous in size, nicely appointed and had a fantastic view of the city and bay. There are terrific stores and restaraunts within walking distance, as is the Seawall and Stanley Park. The hotel staff was able to accomodate an early check-in with no hassles, and we found the concierge to be extremely helpful. I had never heard of this hotel chain before, but we also stayed at the Pan Pacific in Seattle which was equally fantastic.

Convenience worth it for cruising. Breakfast was very expensive. Worth it for a couple of days before or after a cruise.
