Schone kamers, heerlijke bedden, vriendelijke medewerkers, frisse douche! Echt een aanrader. Zit niet direct in centrum, maar 10 minuten lopen. Wel winkeltjes en restaurants om de hoek.

We spend a week in this hotel during april 2009. Upon arrival our room was part of maintenance, so we've been upgraded to a junior suite (free of charge). This room was absolutely stunning! Nice views Manhattan and Queensborougbridge. The hotel is clean, it looks majestic and the staff was very helpful and kind! The nearest metro is about 10/15 minutes walking (the neighbourhood feels very safe, also at night). No doubt we would go back if we plan to visit New York again!!

Comfortabel hotel met ruime mooie kamers. Hier en daar wel wat gebruikschade. De airco functioneerde niet helemaal naar wens en was zeer lawaaig. Nu was het ook wel heel warm. Er kon geen raam open. De staf was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij vonden de lokatie prima. Het was inderdaad een paar blokken lopen naar de metro, maar de buurt voelde heel veilig aan, ook 's avonds en er waren voldoende restaurants dicht in de buurt,

Een hotel op manhattan voor een niet al te hoge prijs, maar met voldoende comfort en luxe. Op 1st Ave veel eetgelegenheden (dichtbij!). Ligging is iets minder gunstig. Houdt rekening met 15 minuten lopen naar metro. 20-25 minuten lopen naar Central Park. (Maar allemaal goed te doen)

Had a great stay at the Bentley. Amazing views from my room which was stylishly furnished without being OTT. The bar was closed whilst I was staying there, so didn't get to try that out, which was a shame. Quite pricey, but I had a lovely stay.

The location may not be great, the facilities may not be great, but, for the price, it is a good deal. Just be aware that there is not a lot of closet space! Yes, there is a lot of outside noise, but yes, you are in the middle of a very large city so it isn't too surprising. Any issues were fixed quickly - but some guests did seem to have more problems than we did.

the hotel was nice but very inconviently located. Nearest subway is on 60th st. but the avenues are long and there's not much around the hotel. Entrance is right next to a gas station and there's no loading area. The street leads to FDR highway so lots of traffic and difficult for cars to stop in front of hotel.

We stayed there in a room at the 5th floor in Sept. 2009. Very quiet room also if it was on a major streets intersection. Room was clean and large, nice TV screen, Bar, etc. No complain at all. The only complain could be related to the fact that in the bathroom there were no shelfs and space where to put things on. A little bit far away from the Subway (need to get to Lexington), but neighbor is nice and safe for a walk.

For the second time in less than a year, I've had to take a cold shower before a business meeting, because they have been having problems with their boiler. Avoid this hotel during hot weather. Most of the room AC units can't keep up with temps above 80. Loud fan on AC/Heat unit kept me awake.

This is a excellent hotel for persons visiting Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center which is about four blocks north. Wonderful safe upper east side neighborhood with lots of restaurant choices.

The rooms are nicely decorated with some having spectacular views. The location is safe and convenient. The service was average. Our stay was pleasant despite the following problems which could easily be addressed. The A/C in our room was ancient and very noisy. There is not enough storage in any of the bathrooms, plus our room's shower had 1/2 door with no curtain, so it was virtually impossible to not soak the floor. There were no wash cloths left in the room by housekeeping. We had to request them two nights in a row from the front desk and one night, they were simply "out of them". We also had to request toilet paper, there were no spares left in the room. There are no ice buckets in the rooms, though they can be requested. The drinks in the lounge were way overpriced, even for NYC.

Only complaint is that I reserved a non smoking room for 1 and got a room with 2 small beds that smelled like a chimney. Otherwise the service was good and very affordable for that location. They were happy to hold my bags for the day after I checked out.

In short you get what you pay for and it was great. The rooms and views are great. I do have an issue with the rooms not having a regular mini-fridge and instead having a ridiculously expensive "honor-bar." Seriously, be reasonable with the prices or just give a regular mini-fridge. Other than that the place is great!!

Overall a wonderful stay, though housekeeping often did not leave toiletries and towels in room. Had to wait for hot water but not a major problem. Air conditioning often wasnt cool enough and that was abit problematic...but overall great friendly staff and clean comfortable room. Location in good part of UES.

I would stay here again. The negative things are that the rooms do not have coffee machines or refrigerators in the rooms. A hotel computer to access would also be nice for printing maps, looking up places to go, etc. It is a hike to the nearest subway, a good 20 minutes mostly uphill. Also, the bathrooms could use more space to put stuff. They have pedestal sinks which are hard to put your things down around. We were also missing towels a few days of our stay. The positive aspects are they have trendy, stylish rooms. The location is very safe and nice if you are visiting the hospitals in the area. Also, the front desk employees were friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is trendy and clean and the location is a bit far away from everything else including the subways, but it was still a good experience. The shower plumbing had it's issues but the beds were comfortable, and the linens clean.

When we checked, we were elated to find out that we were upgraded to a mini suite. We have stayed at the Bentley before and were not dissapointed, Staff very courteous, accomodations excellent, 21st Floor has a great bar staff and spectacular views of the city. We will return.

We never had to wait to speak with someone at the front desk, (no lines, ever), however it was not until our third day that we caught sight of a concierge. The girls manning the desk had little to offer without him. My suggestion, if you have a question, ask the bellhops. The bellhops had better English, better knowledge, and a greater willingness to be helpful.

1. The room was clean but small. 2. There was a refrigerator but not allowed to use it for personal items. 3. They need to get rid of the insulting sign on honor bar: "If you touch any item more than 20 seconds, you will be billed for it". Honest, that is what it said. If I had wanted anything, I would not have bought it with that sign. 4. They should consider complimentary wireless internet. 5. Air conditioning did not cool well. Room was too warm, even at night. Other than the above items, we had a comfortable stay. However, I am used to more complimentary amenities, such as wireless internet, refrigerator, etc.

I called the hotel around 5pm and let them know that I would be in around 11pm because my flight in was delayed. They assured me it wasnt a problem and I would have the same room I had requested, not to worry. I show up, they not only gave me a smoking room that smelled like they had filmed Marlboro commercials in that room for the past 15 years, they gave me two beds that were honestly slightly bigger than the twin size bed that my 6 year old sleeps in. The absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed in and will make it a point to not only never stay there again but make sure no one else stays there.

Overall, I enjoyed staying at this hotel. There are some things that I could gripe about, but I'm sure someone could gripe about a few things at a 5-star hotel as well. 1st off, the hotel staff doesn't know what a wash towel is. They were 2 guests staying in my room and they only left 1 wash towel the first night. On subsequent nights, they didn't leave any. When you called to ask them to bring them up, they were very prompt and courteous but they always brought the wrong thing. And you would think that after calling for them on several nights they would know that they should automatically leave them in the room. Well, they didn't get the hint. This ticked me off a bit, but not enough that I wouldn't recommend the stay. The only other gripe that I have is that the subway was about 7 new york blocks away, which is a nice walk for a southerner like myself. Nonetheless, the neighborhood that you had to walk through to get to the subway was beautiful, so that kinda make the walk a little worth while. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and the hotel was very modern and clean. It even smelled nice. The room was a bit on the small side but we never felt cramped. Also, there are many restaurants nearby to choose from and most can deliver if you're feeling lazy. So, for someone who doesn't mind the subway walk this would be a great hotel at a great bargain. By the way the subway that you have to walk to can get you almost anywhere in manhattan with maybe 1 transer or so, also a plus.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room. I did a lot of research and most reviewers complained about the small sizes of the rooms at other hotels. I loved the decor and the lobby smelled great. The staff was very nice. We had a great walk to Central Park!

We stayed at the Bentley for one night. I was scheduled for surgery the next morning. It was an easy walk up to the hospital. It's a great location for exploring the upper east side. Lots of good restaurants in the neighborhood. The bed was really comfortable - room very clean - bathroom was a decent size. The overnight parking wasn't overpriced. I wish we could have stayed longer. We definitely plan on staying there again.

Very nicely furnished contemporary small room. Room was very clean and nice view of the East River. Hotel parking was a little hard to fine but was a great rate. Top floor restaurant/bar has a great view of NYC.

Close to Memorial Sloan Kettering, which is why we went. Excellent staff. Excellent restaurant, reasonably priced, with spectacular view of the Queensboro Bridge. Comfortable, clean room.

The location of hotel is ok, not much around in walking distance except FDR drive. The service when checking in was terrible, the person at the front desk was quite and did not explain much, actually very depressing. He gave me keys to a room and did not tell me where the room was or even on which floor, luckly i have been in hotels before so I know how they are numbered. I went to the room and put the key card and it did not work. So I went back downstairs to look at this depressing person again and this time he made it right. He did not apologize, not that I really wanted one. Then I go to that floor and one thing I noticed was that I could here people in the hallway which I am not usually able to in other hotels. Nice decor though. Even though I did say I would recommend this hotel, but only if you can't get something better.

The hotel located the East end of Manhattan. You need to walk 2 avenues to get subway.(Maybe 10-15minutes) There was no coffemaker in room.You have to pay for the internet access($15 per day, $34 for 3days. And the wave is weak.)Room is not very spacious, we kicked the legs of beds to hurt our toes all the time.

I could not have been more pleased with the hotel. Great accommodations, great view, kind of out of the way though for Manhattan if you're into midtown (which I am). That is not their fault though.
