The hotel could use a little updating, but we enjoyed the way we were treated, and the location is perfect!

We were pleasantly surprised to be offered, "at no extra cost" to upgrade to a harbour view room. We gladly accepted. Yes, it did have twin beds but the one room suite with the gorgeous view more than made up for the beds. We loved the stay and hope we have an opportunity to return their in the future.

The staff was very friendly and the rooms are very clean. The only complaint is the bathroom.........very small!! I didn't like having to pay extra for parking.

The furniture, while functional, is all chipped and cheap-looking. Sterile-looking room i.e. no taste. Small flights of stairs from the incredibly tight parkade rather than elevator service a pain in the neck. Parking not included in the cost of the room should be clearly indicated on the website. Sure, it's a city and $12/day isn't huge, but still... Pool area about the most uninspired recreational facility I have ever seen in my entire life. View was not bad, but if you do stay, face the harbor - the other side is predominantly bird-stained roofs and a concrete jungle. While adequate, the hotel felt tired, a little under the weather. Super close to U.S. ferry terminals, very handy. Overall, I rate it a 5/10

SUITE HAD GREAT WINDOWS WITH A LOT OF ROOM. VERY NICELY LOCATED TO HARBOR AREA. CONVENIENT TO FERRY. NO CHARM AND A BIT DATED. STAFF VERY STINGY WITH SHAMPOO ETC. SINCE NO AC WINDOWS NEED TO BE OPEN FOR FRESH AIR,NOISY FROM BUSES PARKED AT HOTEL ACROSS FROM THIS HOTEL.

Nice hotel. Didn't realize there was a pool. Would have appreciated a continental breakfast.

Room was far better than we expected, we had a one bedroom suite that was very spacious, clean and the price was great!!!

for a visitor this hotel was particularly well situated to the ferry boats from Seattle or Washington Mainland. Then one could walk to the various usual visiting sites.

We came in the inner harbor and walked to the hotel within 2 minutes. The staff was very friendly and the room very satisfactory. We walked to everything without a problem. We found out as we were leaving that the hotel has a van that will take you where you want to go. No one ever mentioned that to us upon check-in but we did OK without that service.

Cons: We stayed there but a few hrs. and they charged us for the one local call we made. The ice machine was right outside our room- no enclosure- and 2 girls kept getting ice (thankfully they went to bed early). Pros: after the ice, the room was very quiet, bed comfortable and everything was very clean.

the hotel was pretty average. We paid for a single bed room and ended up with two queen beds. When we called to the front desk he said there were no other rooms available with a single bed without paying for an upgrade. the window in our room opened up to the roof top of the next building..which i guess is typical..but the cleaning lady kept opening the window everyday when she would clean and leaving it open after she was done. which was sorta unnerving because we had our laptop and stuff in the room while we were out and about for the day. The shower was very powerful, which I like but it would have been too strong for a kid to take a show in. Overall it was an ok stay for the price we paid. location was great!

We checked in early, but the room wasn't ready yet, so they gave us a suite! The suites are pretty big with mini-fridge, micro, sink and dishes. The furniture is only adequate, I wouldn't call it extravagant or plush. The hotel is literally a block from the ferry terminals and two blocks from the Legislative Bldg. Numerous restaurants in the area (other hotels and independent), as well as bike/moped rentals, which can be fun for a day.

The room was small and we could hardly move around. We could not get constant hot water to shower. We had to turn off the water for about 5 minutes to get some more hot water. I had to pay an additional 12 dollars a night for the parking which I thought it was included in the price. You have to use several stairs to carry your luggage from the garage to the lobby floor and that was inconvenient. The hotel was blocked by other buildings and we did not get any view of the harbor.

The location was wonderful, easy walking distance to the harbour area and shopping. A shuttle was also available to get us to the bicycle rental store and back again. The parking area was great- underground and plenty of room with access into the hotel. Our room had a ceiling fan that provided nice air movement in a non-air conditioned town. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Victoria was very hot when we visited. There is no air conditioning and our room was in the afternoon sun all afternoon until the sun went down. It was very hot. There is no refrig or microwave in the room which would have been nice especially in the heat. The room was clean, staff nice, and stay was fine except for heat. Location was wonderful.

like the hotel, especially the location and the great view of the harbour. accesssible to everything. on the value side for the money, because they charged extra for extra people it added up with the parking. I felt it was not a great value for the price, kinda expensive. and they do not have air conditioning and it was loud to sleep with the windows open. but we loved having complimentary computer access in their business center. the fitness center was small. and the pool was tiny. but the loction was great.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with 6 people, 4 adults & 2 kids. Location was perfect. We arrived on the Coho ferry from Port Angeles as foot passengers and the hotel was only a block from the ferry. The room had a reasonbly stocked kitchenette. We thought we could save some money by using the kitchen. Unfortunately there are not any stores within a quick/reasonable walking distance to the hotel so we ate out more then we planned. We bought the buffet breakfast one morning...only ok. Kids loved the pool. The room was very comfortable & roomy. The main bathroom (not master) was tiny; no tub or shower in it and you could barely close the door around your body. If we hadn't got a super good deal from Hotels.com we would not have stayed here. I don't think it's worth their full price but the price we paid was a good value. Thank you hotels.com.

Rooms need spruced up. Hotel looked tired. Beds were not comfortable. At best a 2 star hotel.

We stayed in Victoria for 4 days, so we were looking for a hotel with a kitchen. The kitchen was more than adequate with a refrigerator, full sink, stovetop and dishes. I would rate this as a very good hotel. My only complaint is the lack of staff. There wasn't a concierge most of the time that we were there. The front desk staff had to do "double duty" which affected the quality of service. We liked the location, which was a couple of blocks off the main hustle and bustle of the downtown area. I would stay at the hotel again.

Two couples in a two bedroom suite and we had room to spare! We were only there overnight but would have loved to have stayed longer to use our kitchen facilities. Only drawback was our room was in the back so no view, and some noise. The "Santiago" restaurant around the corner has super food, reasonable prices, and great service!

Very nice hotel very close to ferry terminal and all the downtown attractions. Had a wonderful view of the harbor and surrounding city. First visit to this hotel I had a single room with nice view. This time I had booked 2 bedroom suites (brought lots of family) and the views were fabulous. The weather was warm, but a nice cross breeze in room because of thoughtful window placement.I love this place! Would come again by myself or with family. Rooms also come with a full kitchen if you get the suites and small kitchen with each room to cut down on costs of eating out for all meals.Highly recommend Vic's the restuarant that is in the hotel especially for their breakfast!

- Nice location, couple blocks away from state capital building. - Allows early checkin. - Friendly staff. - No AC but only ~70F while we were there.

We had a 2 bedroom suite - it was spacious, but not as nice as the picture on their website. The hotel is within blocks of the Legislative buildings, the BC Museum/IMAX, the Empress building & the harbor. There's no a/c, but since we were 8 floors up we just opened the windows & doors and were comfortable (but there were no screens, so we did end up with some flies). We had to pay for parking, even though I was pretty sure it was advertised as free parking. The underground parking garage was quite tight, as we have a fairly large car it took a while to find a space we could get in & out of easily, but since the hotel was close to everything we never moved the car again until we left town. There was some traffic noise, but not too bad. There was a noisy pipe in the wall when the next room was taking showers. The kitchen was nice with a microwave, small fridge, and cooktop (and the housekeepers did the dishes!) Overall we enjoyed our stay and the room was plenty big enough for the 4 of us.

Suites are nicely equipped for an extended stay.

The hotel is in a great location, walking to distance to everything in the Inner Harbour. We were given a room with a view of the Harbour which was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean, comfortable and the check-in process was easy. Didn't get a chance to eat at Vic's or use the pool (short stay). I would recommend this hotel to others. Thank you!

OK hotel.

The hotel service and location were fantastic. Nice restaurant too. Rooms were a little dated, but clean and comfortable. Free hardline internet was a welcome surprise. For the price, I do not believe you can beat it.

Great location, within walking distance to everything, yet tucked back away from all the traffic. Almost in a residential section with a few fine hotels around it. Great value.

Our room was huge as hotel rooms generally go. We had a King Suite that was listed as being 700 sq ft--I don't know if that was accurate but it was very spacious. Only complaint really was that the temp of the shower was very inconsistent based upon others' use of water nearby I suppose. The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been if we would have had a view but you would have to be on the top couple of floors for that due to the buildings and trees in front of this hotel. The location was wonderful!

The hotel has a great location, steps from the ferry. The gym was nice but did not have sound on the tv or mags to read while on the cardio. Pool is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. The lobby smelt very clean and looked upscale but the rooms where disapointing. Small, hot and because we had to have the windows open, alot of street noise. Eventhough, the price was ? good, I would not stay there again.

Hotel Location is good. Room is very small and everything in the room is very old.

We booked a one bedroom king suite the day before we were to arrive for a three day trip. Upon arrival the hotel had no vacancies except for a room with two twin beds. The front desk staff was very apologetic, and after someone canceled for that night was able to put us in a queen room. They upgraded us to a corner penthouse floor suite for the remaining 2 nights of our trip and moved our luggage while were sightseeing the next day. The penthouse suite was 2 ½ levels with a living room, kitchen and balcony on the second level; an office area on the level above that; and a bedroom, 1 ½ bathrooms and large balcony on the first level. We were given coupons for a complimentary breakfast as well as appetizers with dinner or lunch. We both recommend having the steak at the hotel restaurant as it was exceptional. All in all, we were very happy with our stay even with the initial snafu and would recommend this hotel highly.

The hotel is located at a very convenient location within walking distance from downtown shops and restaurants. Parking is always available to us. It feels like an expensive hotel for a very cheap price.

When our room were supposed to be next to each other but were separated by the elevator shaft, they upgraded us to the penthouse suite which was perfect for us.

Superbly placed for downtown and harbour explorations. Well maintained. Rooms a little noisy (slamming doors) but overall excellent value for the money I padi

Stayed at the Harbour Towers and Suites for one week while visiting Victoria, Canada. Hotel is centrally located---you can walk to everything----museum, shops, parks, etc. The hotel is clean, quite, and the staff is excellent.

I've stayed twice at the Harbour Towers in preparation for a move here during retirement. I'm going to miss it now that my partner and I have bought our house. It's a great place. The rooms are nice and large, and many include small kitchens, useful for keeping travel costs down. The views of the inner harbour are worth paying for -- it's gorgeous, night or day, and you're within walking distance of many great areas and attractions. The staff is great too. I realized I just couldn't figure out how to get to the airport by public transport, and the clerk on duty not only printed out the relevant bus schedules, he hand delivered them to my room! The only drawback is that the kitchen area is only a stovetop (no oven), and they can be very minimally equipped. My second stay, for instance, there was no way to strain pasta. But it's still a great place to stay.

Low price compared with other nearby hotels of equal or less quality. Comfortable place to hang our hat while visiting relatives nearby.
