Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown - Chicago

Hotel was in a great location. Easy walking distance to all attractions. Our train arrived very late and the hotel held our room so there wouldn't be any issues. And prior to leaving they allowed us a late check out. Very accomodating and an excellent place to stay. I WILL stay in this hotel again.

We were very pleased with our recent stay. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The location worked out very well for us also.

The staff and services of the hotel were of the highest quality. We were treated with kindness and consideration throughout our stay of (7) days. We agreed that the staff was genuinely concerned with our comfort and needs during our stay. The food and drinks were excellent and timely in delivery. I have already recommended the hotel to our friends and family because of our experience. We plan on booking our next stay at the hotel....

My husband and I just returned from Chicago where we stayed the The Homewood Suites for a week. It was our first time in Chicago so we had no clue where to stay. I booked a king suite after reading all of the positive reviews; however, it far surpassed our expectations! The hotel was clean, well maintained, and best of all, because there was no smoking, it smelled good, too! The location was great - one block to the subway, two blocks to the bus stop that we used several times, close to good restaurants and a grocery store/pharmacy, close to Navy Pier and the river. We were surprised by all of the space in our suite, it felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. It was nice to have a sofa and chair to sit on when we watched TV or read. The bed was comfortable and it had a lot of pillows! We liked the convenience of having a kitchen. The refrigerator had a nice size freezer with an ice maker. Our suite was cleaned every day, one day the housekeeper even washed some dishes I had left in the sink! We were on the 16th floor and had a beautiful view of the Wrigley building (love the clock!)and other buildings along the river. Our suite was quiet. We didn't notice any noise from above or around us, and very little street noise. We enjoyed eating breakfast every day. The food was delicious and plentiful, with a wide variety of choices, no matter what time we arrived at the dining room. The hot food was hot and they didn't run out of anything. We also appreciated the coffee/tea bar in the lobby which was available 24/7. We didn't get to take advantage of the evening meals because we were never there at that time, but if they were like the breakfasts, I'm sure that they were good. All of the people who worked at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We received excellent service from everyone. When we checked in, we were given a lot of information to help us with our visit. Expecially useful was the map of downtown Chicago and a list of restaurants within walking dist

I was very happy with this hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed here from a thursday through sunday in July. We arrived just in time for the complimentary welcome home reception, and were able to sit and have salad, chicken wings, fries, wine and beer. We also ate breakfast there 2 of the 3 mornings, and were very happy with the wide selection, and the option of eating there or taking food back to the room. We stayed in a king sized suite, which was very spacious and clean. The location is great. We walked to the navy pier, or took the free trolley there. We were also within walking distance (less than a mile) from the sears tower, milennium park, and john hancock building. We took the train to wrigley field, which is really convenient due to the close location of the red line train. We would stay here again, and are already thinking of all the things we want to do next time we're in chicago!

Good breakfasts, easy walk to all tourists' must see sites, 3 minute walk to Mich Ave shopping. Bathrooms clean and large, rooms and amenities make for a relaxed, easy visit.

I loved the view from my room, and the location was great. The room was very clean, the staff was really friendly, and the breakfast/manager's reception were nice.

I came for a weekend visit to Chicago with high school friends. We were welcomed by Jennifer at the front desk. She was amazing along with the rest of the staff. She recommended a great place for dinner and drinks and her directions were perfect. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else on my next visit. The view from the rooms was incredible and the location couldn't have been better. Thanks!

my second time great location good service- very friendly staff downstairs staff always says hello and after a day know who you are gym is great pool is a plus very solid rates brekfast is solid i love chicago

The rooms were confortable and had good views of the surrounding Chicago area. Very convienient to Magnificent Mile and Downtown areas. We had reserved a king suite, but were given a double-double suite the first night since no king suites were available. At our request we were switched to a king suite for the next four nights, which was significantly smaller than the first room. However, it worked out well for us and our 2 year old. The included breakfast was great with lots of variety. Lots of restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall a very good experience.

I booked this hotel because we were staying in the city for a White Sox game, even though it is not downtown. I knew Homewood Suites have kitchens and offer a great breakfast but they also offered dinner which was fabulous! The hotel is less than a block away from the EL so we were able to get right to the ballpark without a hassle. I would stay there anytime again!

The important things here were done quite well. Staff here was very friendly and accommodating. Suite was well laid out, and our room was very quiet. Heat and A/C easy to use, bed comfortable. Only complaints and these were minor, was that there is no concierge, whose duties are left to the front desk. Also, no safe in the room for valuables. a small sitting area, weak coffee in an otherwise good breakfast buffet, and of course rip off parking prices, but every downtown hotel has those, seemingly.

In someways I hate to share what a great hotel experience I had because it will become too popular. First, for the room rates, the size of the room, the view, the location were unbeatable. We had a suite with full kitchen which allowed us control of what, when are where we would eat. Every morning they have a complete hot breakfast, from fresh fruit to bacon, eggs and waffles. Earlier risers can bring some back up to room to start the day or wait til everyone is up and go down(back down) as group. This really takes the hassle out of the day. Human nature is not the hotels fault, so if you go to bkfst at 9ish on Saturday, it will be crowded. Pool and newly remodeled workout area at the top are modern, clean, and with an awesome view of the city in all directions. For an unforgettable time, have the family grab some plastic and trays from the buffet and go to the pool area, and sit at one of the tables there, taken in the view 19 stories up while you enjoy a great breakfast. We always do that the first morning we are there. Staff is excellent!!! Will help you with direction, suggestions on restaurants AND will make hard to get reservations. Have stayed he when it was 4 degrees and 80 degrees, doesn't matter, the hotel is so centrally located. A couple of blocks from the Miracle Mile and the greatest shopping and people watching in the world. Great restaurants are everywhere close by as well as renowned architecturally significant buildings. Once you know where things are you will want to walk everywhere but you are only a short cab ride to anywhere if you need it. I fly into Midway, take the L to the loop and can easily change trains an end up one block from the hotel for $2.25, and it is a very fun ride. Family and I tend to do weekends but M-T they have drinks and dinner for free, with the menu for the month posted in the room so, again, you can choose. We get the king bed suite, and even with the pullout, out their is plenty of room to navigate around. Sink

We could not find a hotel downtown in our price range to stay in. When we found this room that was a bit cheaper than others, we did not expect it to be so nice! It was top notch for the dollar!

The room was comfy, quiet, and clean, and came with a kitchenette (which I did not use during my stay). There were some complimentary meals (buffet breakfast) included in the price which was nice but it was not everyday, so check the service hours ahead of time. Also, the valet parking rate was higher than advertised. Apparently, all Chicago parking lots/meter rates increased the week that I arrived. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.

I stayed at the hotel because it was near an event I was attending at another hotel. To get to the hotel, I took the train and subway from Midway Airport. The Hotel is 1 short block from the subway; great location. Pro: Hotel staff was very professional and friendly. Hotel was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. It exceeded my expectations. Con: If you are driving to the hotel, vehicle valet service is expensive at all the Chicago - downtown hotels on or near Michigan Ave.

Excellent hotel...loved the FULL breakfast, free wi-fi, workout center, downtown location, and wonderful room. I look forward to my next visit!

In town with friends for a guys' weekend, and it worked perfectly. Hot breakfast each morning was a definite plus, and don't forget to bring your swim suit--had the pool on the top floor (great view!) all to ourselves late Saturday morning.

The hotel staff was amazingly friendly and extremely helpful, which is what customer service ought to be. The staff even remembered my first name. The breakfast was delicious and quality, the staff was very efficient with keeping the buffet stocked well. The pool was rather beautiful and overlooked the cityscape from the 19th floor. Loved having our own personal kitchen complete with dishwasher, dishes, stove range and full refridgerator. Elevator was VERY FAST! We loved that and everybody made the same comment. Our support bar broke in the bathtub while trying to get up and out of the tub, pulled right out of the wall! The maintenance promptly repaired it. The location of the hotel was hidden as grand does not intersect with Michigan and you can't tell where grand is if you take the train in and are not used to town (personal error I suppose). I look forward to staying here next time I visit!! : )

The hotel was wonderful.. room was spacious and clean. The full breakfast every morning was terrific.. The doormen were kind and helpful. I will stay there my next trip,, anyway to get discount for next stay ?

We just returned from a Spring Break trip with our teenage daughter and her friend. Our primary purpose was to see a White Sox game. We found the hotel to be very convenient to the red line subway station, which is a direct shot to U.S. Cellular Field or Wrigley Field, 2 short blocks to Magnificent Mile, shops and restaurants everywhere, and a grocery store closeby. Everything that we needed was walking distance or easily accesible by subway. We walked from the north end of the Magnificent Mile down to Millenium Park south of the river, taking a break at the John Hancock Observatory. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the evening reception was also good, except that it can get very crowded. Get there early! The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The girls had no complaints about sleeping on the pullout sofa bed. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great location at a reasonable price.

What a deal, and great location. The staff were all very accommodating, and the room had a lot of space and the amenities you want. I will likely stay there anytime I go down for the weekend - especially at these prices!

Nice place, great Location you can walk anywhere you want.

The suite was spacious, bed very comfortable, & having a kichen very convient (especially if your traveling with kids). You can even have them go grocery shopping for you (but I didn't). It was nice to have 2 tv's as well. Some of the staff at the desk really out shined others as far as being friendly & helpful. The doormen/valet were awesome. However, it does cost $42 to valet for 24hrs. Housekeeping made our bed everyday & replaced the towels. Breakfast buffet was nice and selection varied a little bit each day. The pool had a nice view on the 19th floor, but the pool was kind of cool & no hot tub. However, they did have full sized towels up there instead of the little ones that are normally stocked at pools. I would definately stay again.

Nice place the staff is very helpful

My room was nice an quiet, even tho there was conference, it's within blocks of the Wrigley Building and the Tribune Tower. All staff members that I observed or met, were friendly, attentive and immediate in their responses. It was a relief to have a nice hot meal without having to leave the hotel; a welcome surprise to have a hot breakfast in the dining room; and all included in the room rate! I recommend the Homewood Suites and would select it again.

This is one of the best deals Downtown I've seen in a long time. We plan on staying here more often.

Few people I know, know about this hotel. It is perfectly situated between North Michigan Ave and downtown; It is located next to one of the best and my favorite restaurant, Joe's.

In Chicago to celebrate an engagement - needed a place close to the surprise party. Booking agent got us around the corner, stayed in the price range we wished to pay and we were so pleased with everyone there from our first hello to the staff upstairs. Of course parking is Chicago is nearly half the cost of a hotel room per day but the valet was worth it. A simple call down brought the car around and waiting at the curb for us. Morning breakfast was outstanding and so far above the many "continentals" we've endured over the years. With 2 children living in Chicago, we will definitely return to Homewood.

The hotel was very nice. The room was had great space and breakfast was good too. The only problem was the room was very warm and the air did not turn on. We were so hot at night we had to call maintenance up to open windows. With windows open, it was very loud. We would try it again!

Great pleace to stay for the price...great location..had a wonderful breakfast. Room was great...internet was a bit touchy but otherwise no complaints...staff was great. Would recommend to stay!!

The hotel was perfect. It was right by the red line train, half a dozen restaurants in walking distance, we had a great view from our room, and all the staff and other guests were friendly. We got a lot more than what we paid for. Not to mention the great breakfast with real food. Bacon, cheese eggs, great potatos, fruit and much more. Thank you Homewood Suites!!! We will definitely be back.

The suite was bigger than I thought it was going to be. Had full fridge, stove top, plates, silverware, glasses, bowls, sink and a dishwasher. The staff was friendly and the valet's were great getting the car when we needed it. Breakfast was perfect. Better than an other continental type breakfast I have had in the past. And the price was even cheaper than most all places when I looked on line. A great place to stay in Chicago.

I love the location. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and comfortable.

This was our 2nd stay at this Homewood Suites. The accomodations are wonderful and the location is perfect. Excellent warm breakfast buffet, which is a value added feature. We are already looking forward to our next stay there.
