Three Crowns Hotel Prague - Praag

Room was adequately furnished and housekeeping came in every day to tidy etc. Buffet breakfast provided reasonble range of hot and cold food. The hotel provided good value accommodation and was not far from tramline which gave quick and easy access to Old Town city centre. Old Town has some fantastic old buildings & scenery so spent a fair amount of time there. Try the bar across the road from hotel - food is good and the 'live music' invovled a small group of locals playing their own instruments & having a singalong (folk/country style) - couldn't understand a word but was a great atmosphere!

Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was an excellent buffet-style service. The location was neither good nor bad -- a 5-7 minute tram ride plus 3 minute walk from the center. Rooms was simple but comfortable, with big windows, desk, smallish flatscreen TV, and good beds. Shower was a bit small. I got a good room and an excellent breakfast for a reasonable price, so I'm satisfied.

Very good hotel at a very cheap price. Our standard double room was huge, enough to accommodate 6 beds and still room to roam around. The buffet breakfast is lovely. The only criticism I can think of, is it's location. Walking is not an option to the key tourist destinations and the easiest option is to take a bus to the nearest metro station which acts as a hub.

This was the best price my friend and I found in Prague. I rated it lower on convenience and neighborhood because 1) it is not super close to tram stops, but not an unreasonable walk, and 2) I would not have felt comfortable walking around at night in the neighborhood (but I could just be being a bit paranoid). The hotel itself was great! Restaurant was reasonably priced and had decent food. Breakfast buffet was good. Internet available at no charge in the lobby. Nice little jazz club across the street. Room was large and clean. I would return again.

Excellent hotel, spacious, clean, and about 10 minutes from the city center. Service was exceptional, very knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond what was necessary.

Hotel is abt 10 min. walk from the nearby tram station Husinesca (sp??), one station from the main train station. Off Husinesca by tram, walk UP the hill abt 3rd street on the left, all the way in the end. Roomy but not clean enough. Bed is dusty, phone, remote & chair has brown stains, floor not vaccumed but bathroom is very clean. Front desk girl Katerina is very accommodating. The other chubbier shorter girl is not. She looks like one of those still in the Soviet era. The others were right, great breakfast! (except the room temperature milk, european thing) Convenient location, big room.

The hotel is ok, clean, decent breakfast. The neighborhood is not so clean and not tourist friendly for finding things. Though met some nice people. It's a bus ride into the old part of town, only two stops but if you are out late, then cab or a very long walk is your only way back. There are better places much closer for the same money.

We stayed in the building/part across the street from Main Lobby; the whole place is lovely, bright, spotless, comfortable, especially for a "budget" hotel. Breakfast buffet a generous mix of fresh breads, eggs, cereals, fruit, brunch-y things. Improvement suggestions: Internet station has no printer; and staff would not print boarding passes for us-caused us problems. If you need anything at night, desk staff tends to put off requests until the next day. But overall, great! Great music pub next door, too

this is a great hotel the only problem is its at the bottom of a very steep hill, but dont let that put you off, we went for a 4 day break and really enjoyed it. The tram system is just great if you stay at the Three Crowns walk to the top of the hill turn right and get either the number 9 or 22 or 5 into the town you can only get a day or 3 day ticket from the metro which is facing H and M in the square and once you have bought it punch the ticket on the tram or the bus /train then its valid.There is a pub facing the Three Crowns may look a bit dark but the food is good and so is the beer and you wont be over charged for any thing.

Nice staff (except the male receptionist) .. excellent breakfast, excellent bed, excellent room, excellent services except, the heater is not quite functioning. Very cold room. Since the coldness effects my comfortness.. I think this hotel does not deserve a full excellent rating. But for everything else.. It was such an excellent great experience. Luckily I just stayed for 2 nights. If not, I could have catch cold.

This hotel was an excellent find!!! We came to Prague for an extended Stag weekend with 21 people, all of which stayed at this one hotel and none of which had a bad thing to say about it!! The front of house staff were helpful and attentive, suggesting bars to visit, attractions to see and the areas to avoid. The hotel without having the best fittings, had all the facilities we requiured and was kept clean at all times. I have awarded a 4 for the room comfort as it fit our needs: the standard rooms were quite basic but were exactly what we needed for a large group wanting to keep to a budget. Also for a few pounds extra there is the superior rooms which had flat screen tvs, heated flooring in the bathroom and a small balcony etc. Also helpful was that breakfast was run until 11am (later then most hotels) and the check out time was noon (again later then most that we looked at). There may well be better places to stay in Prague but if you are going on a stag do or anything similar, this place is guarenteed to please! 1500!!

If you're looking for a clean inexpensive place in zizkov, this is it. The complimentary breakfast makes it even better. An easy walk downtown and easy to get to from the airport. Good inexpensive bars and restaraunts in the hood. the only drawback maybe was no coffee or tea or clock in the room...Boo Hoo. TV had mtv, cnn and espn in english. Staff was friendly (I asked the desk guy to order me a pizza for delivery at 3 am and he did). Go for it. I say!!!!

I only stayed here for two days but thought it was great, especially for the price. I didn't really explore the immediate neighborhood as much but there is a tram stop a short walk away and you can be in the old town square in only a couple stops. The front desk also sells tram passes, which is convenient.

Hotel had decent reviews on this site. We booked our whole vacation in this place to avoid uncertanty. True situation is that there is a hotel on every corner in Prague. Book one night somewhere and experience it. This hotel was located about 15 minutes walk from the center. Rooms were small and beds unconfortable. Service on and off. The only good thing was a great breakfast every morning and free internet in the lobby. Try to stay closer to the river. Hotels are easy to find locally. Just walk down the street and walk into any place. They all have their rates posted on the wall.

Awesome hotel, but room smelled heavily like smoke.

Positive part: Friendly and helpful stuff, good breakfast,clean room. Negative part: We made reservation for room with quin size bed, but first night they put us in two double bed and did not want change till next morning. In the morning manager "explained" us that quin size only in Luxury room and they can not guaranty it. Anyway after short discussion we've been moved to room we reserved.

This hotel definitely met my expectations but didn't exceed them. The rooms were fairly modern and clean, obviously updated within the past few year. There was one issue that definitely impacted my "comfort" level. For some reason, the designers decided to use wood planks as the flooring for the shower instead of tile. It looks really nice; however, when wood gets wet, it tends to breed mildew and the "musty" odors associated with it. To say it was noticeable would be an understatement. The smell pretty much consumes you as soon as you open the door. I have no idea why they didn't just use the same tile present throughout the whole bathroom. Other than the smell detailed above, everything else was "up to par". The breakfast was phenomenal and the staff was always very helpful & kind. It is a bit of a distance to the main attractions of Prague, but I didn't mind the 30-45 minute walk. There is also plenty of close transportation (tram, bus, etc) if you are not the walking type. Fix the floor and I'll come back. :)

Very good hotel and only a short walk from the centre of Prague. The staff were very helpful and efficient making the stay more comfortable.

a great place to stay quiet clean and friendly staff...breakfast was avalible as hot or cold so was very good...will defo stay there again...superb

After reading other reviews, we booked the triple deluxe room, which was only a little more expensive than the other rooms. The room was in the new annexe, immaculately clean, small balcony. Couldn't fault it. had its own fridge for cooling drinks and very, very quiet. Staff really friendly, very easy check in and out. THe hotel is a little out of the centre of town, but no problems getting in on either bus or tram. Really friendly bar over the road which stayed open until we left. For a city break, it was absolutely ideal. Would definitely stay there again and pay the extra for the larger room.

It is very easy and quick to access the best neighborhoods and the hotel is wonderful and new. Awesome breaKFAST. Highly recommended.

It was disappointing to find the Hotel did not serve any evening meals and was unable to provide a cup of tea. Some of the room facilities which in England we take for granted were not provided. Otherwise a comfortable, clean and modern hotel with a helpful reception desk.

We enjoyed our stay here and thought the value was a decent deal. It's close to downtown. The included breakfast was pretty good (though, that's a relative term as food in Prague in general is not very tasty).

All in all a great place to stay. Five minute walk to Tram and then 3 stops into town, or you could walk the 1.3 miles. The service/staff were excellent, and the hotel is located in a quiet location. The breakfast was terrific, typical northern European fare: cold cuts, eggs, yogurt, cheeses, etc. Although the restaruant recently re-opened at night only sandwiches and salads are presently available. However, the beer prices and sandwiches prices were very reasonable. I would recommend the Three Crowns without reservation.

Not really one to give bad revies, but they repeatedly neglected to clean the room. Thus we ran out of towels and toilet paper. This even after we voiced a complaint at reception.

This is a lovely small but chic hotel with Prague's charisma. Not very expensive and it is an amazing value for money. The room was nice and clean, downstairs lobby and restaurant very elegant and we even got a free welcome drink. Breakfast was excellent too - there was a wide variety and even a fresh Czech marbor cake. The hotel is located up the hill from the centre (Seifertova ulice), but you can take a tram and you are down in the centre after 3 stops. I will definetely go back!

We booked superior rooms and were very happy with them. They were modern, clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff is professional and friendly. We stayed at five different hotels on this trip and this hotel by far offerred the best breakfast. The hotel isn't located centrally but for us was very walkable to sites. (We didn't use the tram but the tram line is about four blocks from the hotel.) We found good restaurants and bars in the neighborhood and felt comfortable there at night. We thought it was nice to get out of the more touristy and busy areas at the end of the day.

This hotel is in Zizkov, which is a few long blocks (basically, two directly uphill and two directly downhill) to the center of Prague. The neighborhood is really cool and good for younger travellers. The hotel was super clean, the staff was really professional and seemed to speak many languages, there was a computer in the lobby with internet that anyone could use, and the gratis breakfast was huge. They also have their own cab service, which would have been helpful to know as we got ripped off from the train station to the hotel, which should really have been under 250 Crowns (airport is much further). We got a great rate in Mid-March (and caught the first couple days of the Easter markets). I would only not recommend this hotel for older or disabled persons because of the location.

The three nights we spent in this Hotel were very nice and comfortable! Our room was very clean and the bathroom too but a little bit too tiny! Staff at the reception desk is very competent and welcoming : in case of rain, they can lend you umbrellas and other relevant useful things! An access to the internet is available in front of the desk, everybody is allowed to log on but too many people at the same time (I queued sometimes). The hotel is fitted with an elevator. The restaurant of the hotel is palatable but quite empty each evening. At breakfast, you're plunged into another world : a impressive choice of foods and juices. only one thing to notice: there is just one Toaster and it's a little bit difficult while rushing! So, in a word, I advise that hotel very much !! Have nice time in prague

Check in var kl.2 och vi kom kl.1 och fick vi ett surt svar att vi fick vänta en timme. Med tanke på att hotellet låg en lång väg från stan i ett dåligt område gjorde det svårt att slå ihjäl en timme. Rummet var jättestort och högt i tak, en liten platttv, ett enkelt badrum. Sängen, som vi beställt queen size var två ihopskuffade enkelsängar. Det var extremt lyhört och man hörde allt från trappuppgången (och då bodde vi ändå längst bort från den) och man hörde en del från rummet brevid. Området ligger ganska svåråtkomligt utanför centrum, och när man frågar turistbyrån i Prag berättar de att området anses vara Prags fulaste och sämsta område. Att köpa ett flerdygnskort för spårvagnen är ett måste om man ska bo här, tyvärr är dock närmsta spårvagn upp för en brant backe och sedan ytterligare en bit. Frukosten på morgonen var bra, baguetter, youghurt, ägg m.m. Dock var det larver i deras dressing man kunde ha till. När vi skulle till flyget tidigt på morgonen fick vi gratis med oss en "frukostpåse", suveränt! På rummet, vi hade alltså ett standardrum, så var det väldigt varmt på nätterna på grund av att det var varmt utomhus och det fanns varken fläkt eller ac. Det fanns ingen kyl på rummet vilket var synd då man i Prag måste dricka vatten på flaska och gärna vill ha det kallt. Funkar nog för de som åker till Prag för att festa, men ej för vanliga turister som vill kunna sova ordentligt och orka med sevärdheter.

Vanligt bra hotellrum trevligt, rymliga rum.

fint hotel, der absolut lever op til den meget billige pris. En lille gåtur til centrum ad temmelig trafikkerede og kedelige veje. Ok restaurant. meget roligt og stile kvarter om natten.

Prisvärt hotell på hyfsat avstånd från centrum. Värt att notera är att vi på nätterna stördes ordentligt av närbelägen pub och trafik. Vi brydde oss inte om att byta rum, men må va hänt att rum belägna i andra delar av hotellet inte har denna störande ljudnivå. Traditionell frukost, helt ok.

hôtel pas trop mal placé (2arrets de tram de la gare centrale). Quartier pas touristique, (avec beaucoup de restos hors de portée de la foule), mais un peu déprimant . La chambre que nous avons eue était au dernier étage, avec un velux, donc très chaude (aout) et plutôt bruyante, vu qu'on a dû dormir avec la fenêtre ouverte (pas de clim). Sinon, petit déj. excellent. Accueil pas très chaleureux, mais efficace.

Aménagement des chambres un peu vieillot Quartier calme (poste de police à 50m !!) Tram à 10mn pour le centre ville ATTENTION: le prix du parking hotel peut faire 50% du prix de la chambre et pas de parking public longue durée à proximité

Hotellet var veldig sentralt, rommet stort og greit, hadde teppegulv, men var reint. Frokosten var mye bedre enn forventet:). Dessverre var det mye støy utenfor, noe som drar litt av det gode inntrykket ned

Vores værelse lå i en nyrenoveret sektion af hotellet. Værelset var nydeligt men manglede garderobeplads. Det var umuligt at finde tilladt parkeringsplads i nærheden, så vi valgte hotellets sikre parkering som er lidt dyr. Morgenmad var ok, men hotellets restaurant var ikke noget særligt.

Jag är nöjd med val av hotell. nära till tunnelbanan ca 20-25 minuters gångväg till Karslbron om man ville gå, annars var det lätt med spårvagn och allmänna kommunikationer. Bra 3 tunnerlbanestationer till Arenan O2 som var anledningen till resan: Herbalife Extravaganza. Jag hade familjen med mig och tog några extra dagar som semester i en jättavacker stad. Prag är en fantastisk stad!

Bra hotell fräscht och rent. Rymligt och lugn miljö. Nära spårvagn som tar 5 min till gamla stan. Trevlig personal i stort. Enda nackdelen är restaurangen som kräver betalt i kontanter och personal som är mindre service-minded än personal på vanliga uterestauranger.

Trevligt hotell lite utanför centrum med bra service och fina rum. Bokade ett superior dubbelrum där AC ingick, tyvär så fungerade denna inte speciellt bra, men detta gjorde inte så mycket efterson det var svalt om kvällarna. Annars var det väldigt trevlig vistelse i Prag och på detta hotellet

The hotel was ok, but the announced wireless internet access was non-existent and the hospitality internet client at the reception was so out of date that it was even hard to answer e-mails. Internet cafes was a must. The standard rooms do not even remotely look like the nice pictures of select rooms which can be found on their website. The standard rooms are very "ordinary" compared to the pictures. But altogether it is a ok hotel, I would consider going there again, but first I would remember to bring my own laptop :) /Nick

Jo hotellet var vi nöjda med men det finns ett par saker som jag är mindre nöjd med och det är att bilderna på rummen inte alls stämmer överrens med verkligheten, man måste väl också ha bilder på de rum som inte är nyrenoverade. På bilderna ser det ut som om rummen är superrenoverade och alldeles nyrenoverade men så var det inte med våra rum. Och det var märkligt att det inte bäddades rent någon gång under våra fem dagar.Kan absolut tänka mig bo där igen.

Nagyon tudom ajánlani a hotelt autóbusszal vagy vonattal érkezőknek. Az UAB Florence buszpályaudvar kb 700m-re van csupán, akár a taxi költséget is meglehet spórolni, a hotel könnyen elérhető gyalog is. Az óváros is 10-15 perc séta. Természetesen a tömegközlekedési eszközök is nagyon könynen elérhetőek, tehát számomra abszolút megfelelt a hotel. Nem túl zsúfolt és éjszaka is nagyon csendes volt. Kényelmes, tiszta és megbízható hotel. Ár érték arány rendkívül jó. Én nagyon elégedett voltam ezzel a szálláshellyel.
