Post Hotel & Spa - Lake Louise

We hadden een prima kamer aan de voorkant van het hotel. 's Nachts gaf dit wat lawaai van de spoorlijn, goederen treinen die hier passeren zijn soms wel 150 wagons lang. Het duurt dus een tijdje voordat die voorbij zijn, maar als je vakantie hebt maakt dat niet veel uit. Het restaurant is heel goed al zijn de prijzen ook navenant.

Het hotel is prima, als je van een ouderwetse inrichting houdt erg mooi. Kamers zijn ruim, wij hadden een eigen balkon op het zuiden, dat was fijn. Bubbelbad in badkamer was ook lekker en de Aveda badspulletjes zijn altijd goed!

Had a great stay at the Post Hotel. Very comfortable large rooms, whirlpool bath was a luxury after a hard day hiking. Lobby impressive, and very welcoming staff. Great pub attached to hotel for a more relaxed dining experience, walking distance to local shops etc. Beds very comfortable, free tea and coffee service in the morning very welcome. Great choice of hotel!

This is a very nice hotel. We had a first floor room so we were able to take the short cut to our car. Clean, good atmosphere and a value for the money.

Get room away from railroad tracks

Very friendly, attentive staff- Great price for a very comfortable room. Beautiful setting! Would not hesitate to return.

Was very pleased with this hotel and spa. Loved the grounds and very convenient location to the stores. Room was excellent although there are much nicer rooms at a higher rate on the river. I understand the restuarant is highly rated but we chose to walk to the Train Station restuarant that was also fun and good food. The nice spa closed before we could use it upon returning from dinner. Would like to return to this hotel which was the nicest on our 8 day vacation.

The Post is located right in the center of the small village of Lake Louise, and is inviting from the road. The staff were kind and helpful though our concierge was a tad stuffy (he did manage to tell us about the collection of VHS movies we could borrow with a straight face). If you don't have a lot of extra money to burn, this place will be a little frustrating to stay at. We thought the room itself was a good value and reasonable in price for the quality. The bathtub has jacuzzi jets and overall the room was very clean though dated in decor. The lovely indoor pool, hot tub and steam room were open to all guests, and they had a nice fitness room. However, if you want to take advantages of the many amenities this place has to offer such as the spa treatments or the hotel's fine restaurant, be ready to lay down some serious flow! Food in Lake Louise is expensive everywhere due to the remoteness of the place, but the menu prices gave us sticker shock, even in the comparatively humble bar room where we retreated for dinner, and we're used to New York prices! Another frustrating detail was that there were some nice Adirondack chairs by the Bow river outside the hotel's bar area. I was about to sit back in one to read and discovered that they were reserved only for the guests who had rented the riverside cabins. In sum, the Post is a great place, but it is really geared towards its wealthiest guests despite having some nice more moderately priced rooms.

Good hotel! Has everything except a coffee maker and an iron. The rooms were very clean and the staff was courteous. The noise of the passing train broke the tranquility of the night several times. it reminded me of an episode from I Love Lucy Restaurant on the other hand is formal and uptight with poor quality food. the food is a big disappointment!!

The Post Hotel and Spa was a great hotel right in the centre of Lake Louise town. We were considering paying extra to stay at the Fairmont Chateau right on the lake, but were glad that we chose the Post instead. The Post was great value for money, more conveniently located in the heart of town and only a 5 minute drive from Lake Louise, and less than half the price of the Fairmont - which in hindsight it seemed a bit overrated. The restaurant was a tad pricey, but on par with all other places to eat in the area. The staff were extremely accomodating - we checked in quite late at night (past 11pm) and were starving. We asked the front desk if they knew of any places that were still serving dinner at that hour. They went out of their way to call around town to check up on open restaurants for us, and told us they'd call our room to update us within 5 minutes - sure enough, 5 minutes later, we received a call to our room with the information we requested. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Lake Louise and highly recommend it.

If you are looking for glittering night life and discos, this is not your cup of tea. But if you are seeking olde world charm and elegance this is where you want to be. It is perfect for a quiet getaway and has access to a great ski hill, Lake Louise.

Excellent !! Be aware is is expensive but the price service is just perfect. Wherever you stay in Lake Louise it will cost you a lot of money.

trop snob, pas bien et surtout le restaurant

Ein Hotel in zentraler Lage in dem schweizer Service und kanadische Ungezwungenheit perfekt zumsammenspielen. Ein unauffälliger aber sehr effizienter Zimmerservice morgends und abends. Der "Outpost Pub" hat ebenfalls ein Lob verdient: Nette Atmosphäre, gutes Essen, gutes Bier und freundliche Bedienung. Minuspunkte gibt es allerdings für die Lage des Hotels nahe der Canadian Pacific Railroad, die einem auch nachts z.T. im 30-Minutentakt die "verkehrsgünstige" Lage der Economy-Zimmer in Erinnerung ruft.
