was met vriendin en ons beider dochters van 11 en 13, onthaal was prima, service van hotel is uitstekend, je kunt met alles bij receptie en concierge terecht, ruimtelijk en mooie hal, het kan absoluut wat knusser hier en daar. Kamers schoon, bedden heerlijk, had alleen wel koffie- en theezetmogelijkheid verwacht en voor vijfsterren een wat gemoderniseerdere badkamer met toebehoren, handdoeken waren heerlijk groot en rul dat wel. Totaal geen geluidsoverlast, rustige ligging, beetje ongezellige omgeving. Met tram toch nog wel 10 min. naar wat gezelligheid. Wat bijzonder tegenviel was ontbijt, en dat voor 29,50 euro p.p., koude eieren, weinig broodkeuze, niets speciaals, zou voor ontbijt en die prijs dus ook niet meer terug gaan. Ook zwembadgebruik moet apart worden betaald (12 euro), jammer, dan nog parkeren voor 35 euro en je bent een heleboel geld kwijt voor relatief weinig genot

Clean, tidy, and all that you would expect from a five star hotel. Proximity is close to the musueam quarter but about a half hour walk to the city centre it'self. Located in a nice area that is off the tourist trail, nice bars and cafes within a five minute walk and if you can afford it the okura restaurants are first class... one even has two michelin stars...

Prices were good compared to other 5 star hotels. Tram outside the door which took 8-10mins to Dam sq which was fine but you wouldn' walk it at night, especially after a few drinks. Room very nice but for a 5* I would expect tea/coffee making facilities and a bit more luxury. Gym not included in price, again would expect more from a 5*. Staff were polite but concierge were extra helpful.

The room we were given (up grade?) was a corner room (windows on two side of four walls) on the 16th floor, so it was very bright with a good view of the city. The size of the room was generous. However, it was surprise not to find tea/coffee making facility in the room, which would been very useful, since our stay was a-week-long one.. A couple of occasions, we found our bedroom and bath room not cleaned and rubbish bins weren't emptied after we came back from being out. As a five-star hotel, the facility and decor of the hotel could be more modern, we felt.. However, the service of the staff was pretty good. We liked the large bedroom and enjoyed special Japanese New Year's day breakfast!

Hotel in good location, near tram lines and the RAI Conference centre - aimed at business travellers. I was disappointed to find that the room cost did not include - city tax (payable on departure) or use of the pool / gym - this required a daily extra membership fee. Room service was not great, food cold, and breakfast exhorbitant cost for average meal. Suggest eating elsewhere - the good tram links make this easy! If I had been paying full price for the room, I would have been very underwhelmed - as it was, it didnt feel like good value for money.

When we first arrived to the Okura Hotel, we were impressed with it's size and appearance. We were quickly whisked away to our room, and oriented to the remote control which controlled room temperature, curtains, lights, etc. The first thing we noticed was that half the lights in the bathroom were out...the ones directly over the sink. The front desk was responsive, and sent a doorman up. Unfortunately, maintenance could only be contacted during the daytime (we arrived at 7pm) so we had no lights to help us get ready for our night out or the next day. The next day, it was apparent that the lobby (near all of the restaurants) was under full construction. I was not made aware of this prior to our arrival. Even though you can check your internet at a bus stop for free in Amsterdam, it will cost you 30 Euro to do so within the perimeter of the Hotel Okura. Also, the room comfort rating is low because no matter what the remote read, we were unable to adjust the room temperature to our comfort level, which is definitely below 25 degrees Celsius. From the location that is so far removed from the city, and the relentless nickel and diming (wouldn't even let us take our COFFEE upstairs from the restaurant unless we ordered room service!!!!), we will not stay again.

Hotel is a little off center, however it's pretty easy to get there by tram. I loved the restaurant Ciel Blue, the food was amazing! Overall I really enjoyed my stay and definitely recommened this hotel to my friends.

Apparently the hotel is undergoing renovations. Don't think that you're going to get the modern room that they display on their website; there's apparently a good chance that you get the older rooms. Though somewhat dated taste-wise, the hotel was immaculate. It's undergoing renovations and the rooms and hallways are getting the full treatment. Our room, upgraded from the single we were booked in for 70 euros, was 'used'. It was, however, spotless and comfortable. The hotel has good access via taxi and tram to anywhere. We took the tram in from Centraal Station, #25 and it took 15 minutes. The staff were professional in every respect. Overall a fair value, if not a bit pricey. Would've been nice to have that room with the flat-screen tv on the website.

Top notch attractively designed hotel. Staff was as professional and accomodating as could possibly be. An absolutely wonderful hotel for business travelers. For sightseers, this may be a bit far from the main areas for you preferences. The public transportation train is right there, so this does not have to be a deal breaker...but the trains only run until midnight. Only real complaint is that my room had absolutely no spare outlets to plug anything in. Beautiful place, okay location for tourists, great staff!

Luxurious rooms, although one would hope so for the rate. Housekeeping can be insistant in the mornings, so don't be afraid to use your "do not disturb" signs. Check out the japanese store in the mall underneath the hotel reception, good food and gifts!

I reviewed many opinions about the Hotel Okura online and was pre-warned about the fact that they overcharge for everything. I have severe allergies and needed to stay in a super-clean, truly non-smoking room especially since smoking is so prevalent in public areas and felt that the Hotel Okura was the best choice for me...and it was. The Deluxe room was spacious and the bathroom was elegant. Everything was very clean. There was a cute little oragami crane waiting for us. My husband actually took lots of pictures of the bathroom for ideas for our next home. There was a plasma TV in the bedroom and bathroom. There was ample space for the travel bed that we took for our baby - we decided to buy one on our own because the hotel charges 25 Euro per night for use of a crib and at that rate, with a 3 night stay, we might as well have bought it. But in any event, there was lots of space for the travel bed and for us to walk around it. The restaurants in the hotel are very good, but expensive (one had a pre-fix menu for 98 euro per person). The breakfast buffet was not palatable by American standardsand it was expensive - 28 euro per person. The breakfast sausage was made of liverwurst (with a cream cheese texture). There were different foods to choose from like pastries, yogurt, fruit, muffins, and they even had an omelet station. But, nothing was really appealing to my family. Room service was very expensive. The cheapest thing on the breakfast menu was yogurt - plain or strawberry for 4.50 Euro. You have to call room service to get ice, but they arrived within 5 minutes. The location is good - close proximity to the trams which get you to the city/museums. They were easy to navigate. There was a great Japanese restaurant a block away from the hotel. You generally need reservations to go there, but they let us eat by the bar. One night, there was drumming music that kept me awake. The delux room was exactly as described and I loved the comfort. The room was perfectly sized and the bathroom was huge. I loved the hot tub and the "rain shower". The hotel is a little ways from Amsterdam Central however a Tram 25 stop is one block away. I had room service every day and while pricey it was always perfect and there within 20 minutes.

Visually the Hotel is outstanding. The lobby had a great mix of clean old fashion/ futuristic Japanese lounge style. The hotel as a whole contains a great health club with a spa and a pool. Nice feature to have after hours of walking in the city. The restaurants in the hotel area are in their own league and not to mention the restaurant at the very top of the building at 24th floor with an amazing view over Amsterdam including a lounge bar. The Location in the district of De Pijp is perfect. To live in the overcrowded tourist centrum is a bit stressful. Therefor if you want a peaceful vacation it's a perfect match to live in that district of Amsterdam. 2 min. from the hotel you hop on a tram 12 or 25 to the centre of the city. Or just walk. De Pijp is still a part of the city core. The absolute centre is just a few kilometres away. Next time I stay in Amsterdam I will definitely stay at Okura. And by the way the transportation to the Airport Schiphol is solved by buying a taxi voucher from the hotel. It costs € 33. The distance is approximately 13,5 km.

Meget behagelig opphold i fine rom med topp service. Det meste kostet imidlertid ekstra: Frokost er ikke inkludert, og koster 30€ pr. person - men den var god! Internettilgang 17€ pr. døgn. Betjent treningssenter og basseng 30€ pr. døgn. To restauranter med en og to Micelinstjerner (den ene ble besøkt, noe som kostet 380€ for to - men du allverden...).

Detta hotell var väldigt exklusivt..dessutom var det en bit utanför men ändå inte, då man fick njuta i sällskap av lokalbefolkningen och inte enbart av turister.

Okura hotell hade fantastisk design i entrén och lobbyn. Att starta dagen med några längder i poolen var härligt även om det kostade en slant. Rummen var helt ok, men jag hade väntat mig mer. Hotellets resturanger besökte jag inte, men nära fanns många andra restauranger och ett kanonställe för frukost på väg till RAI-mässan. Till mässan var det bara 10 min promenadväg.

Et imponerende flot hotel med service i topklasse. En rigtig flot helseklub mange muligheder for at forkæle sig selv. Centralt placeret i byen med alt indenfor gåafstand. Hotellets bar ligger lige ud til kanalen, hvilket er hyggeligt og charmerende. Værelset var dog alt andet end imponerende. Lille og lidt gammeldags indrettet samt fugtskader på badeværelset - det trak selvfølgelig meget ned i helhedsindtrykket.

Okura Amsterdam fremstår som et meget pent og komfortabelt hotell med alle ønskelige fasiliteter. Hotellet har flere returanger hvor alle tilbyr utsøkt mat av høy klasse. Personalet er serviceinnstilt og stekker seg langt for å imøtekomme de ønsker og behov en måtte ha. Hotellet ligger ikke lengre unna sentrum enn at man kan spasere dit, gjerne etter en god frokost med jordbær og sjampanje. Dette er et hotell man ønsker å komme tilbake til.

Var i Amsterdam kun på weekend tur. P.g.a. det korte oppholdet kunne jeg ideelt sett tenkt meg et hotel med beliggenhet i områdene Rembrandts Plein evt. Leidse Plein hvor utestedene var åpen etter kl. 13.00. Når det gjelder hotellet generelt har jeg bare positivt å si bortsett fra at det er svært kostbart å benytte seg av hotellets fasiliteter. Fikk den ordentlige luksus følelsen under oppholdet :-)

Tutto ok, camera piccola ma con tutto, pure il fax. La camera veniva rifatta anche 3 volte al giorno. Non ho gradito che ogni notte mi arrivava un sms dalla banca per un prelievo di 30/50 euro da parte dell'albergo sulla carta di credito. Alla richiesta di informazioni mi è stato detto che il computer fa dei suoi calcoli e fa i prelievi ma che al momento del check out non vengono assegnati. In effetti così è stato ma....che fiducia.

Servizio molto accurato e puntuale. L'unica pecca è stato il phon di cui non hanno cambiato il tubo, ma era comunque funzionante. Personale sorridente e disponibile. Un po' cara la colazione in hotel
