Nice hotel with a good size flat screen LG LED televison. Nice surrounding area which is close to just about everything.

Close to Navy Pier, River North, Magnificent Mile, lots or restaurants, shops and public transportation. Updated, clean and pleasant, wifi in room, free breakfast and a good price for mid-week during a trade show. Would certainly use it again.

Arrived early (11:30 AM). Hotel staff gracioiusly found an available room and permitted us to check in early. On checkout day had a train that didn't leave until 5:45. Hotel staff again helped by storing luggage until middle of the afternoon long after checkout time. Excellent service. Continental breakfast was excellent in surroundings as well.

This Hotel is located in the heart of all the downtown Chicago action. Just a short walk to the Navy Pier and Miracle Mile shops and you can't be the price!

Upon checking in, the clerk moved us to a "better" room. Not sure what we had, but the room we stayed in was nice. Continental breakfast was good. Location was great for all the touristy downtown locations.

Excellent location for downtown shopping, museums, conventions. Beds are too hard. Breakfast is good.

Wasn't informed that parking was separate. Parking in hotel is $42.00. Two blocks away is $28.00 but you cannot move your vehicle once you park it.

The location is perfect for anything you want to do in downtown Chicago. The staff were exceptionally helpful and gave us some excellant money saving tips about entertainment.

this hotel was in an excellent location 1 block off michigan on the navy pier side. the hotel was clean, nice, the service was excellent and my nephew loved the breakfast(had a sausage biscuit, 2 donuts and cofee every morning). will stay there again next visit to chicago.

On the plus side: - Clean & well-maintained room - Allowed us to check-in an hour or two early - Very nice complimentary breakfast - Good elevator service to rooms (essential for room on twelveth floor) - Very friendly, helpful staff - Good location for tourists On the negative side: - Parking was extra: -- Valet parking added 50% to room price -- Self-parking (about 2 blocks away) added more than 25% to room price - Had to call each day to get enough towels & washcloths for 4 people

The hotel is unique and modern looking. The staff was extremely helpful regarding activities and locations. The rooms were very clean and the bed was really comfortable. The stay was great!

Hotel was very nice, room clean, although small, and staff extremely courteous. Only issue was not being told about valet parking on web page or prior to booking. Was told only when I was checking in, and if you decline valet parking, free hotel parking is 3 blocks away! Otherwise no issues.

The hotel staff was the nicest I've experienced in a long time. We asked for directions and told them we would be back down to get them, and we didn't end up going back to the front desk, so they printed out the directions and slipped them under the room door during the night. They seemed to really care that we were treated well!

We had good service, friendly staff, great location, great price, overall great.

This hotel room has a problem. When you get in your room and go to look out the window you will not have a view of even a street or a tree, You get a view of other rooms and that is it, so make sure you keep your blinds shut at all times. The blinds are in the bedroom area not even in the living area. I was not pleased with my privacy.

Convenient location.....only 1 block from Michigan Ave. Close to shopping and restaurants. The room was cozy. Breakfast was a hot continental....lots of choices. Will return next year!

This is located in the heart of the "Magnificent Mile" and was easy walking distance to shopping, dinning and theaters. Breakfast buffet was great.

Brought the family down to spend the night. Hotel was very nice, clean, and ideally located for holiday shopping. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The only thing we were a little bit disappointed with was that they did not have on demand movies in the room. The kids look forward to winding down with a movie before bed.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean albeit a little small, and the continental breakfast in the morning was good. Great location on a relatively quiet street.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location. We'll stay here again.

The lobby makes you feel your in a space ship with the Jetson's ... So if there's any Trekee's out there : ) Kidding a side, We really enjoyed this place !

Our check-in clerk was also the manager on duty and she (Amanda) was helpful and knowledgeable of the area and the attractions. If all hotel people were like her, traveling would be sooooo easy.

Great location in the heart of it all near the Magnificant Mile. Easy walk to all shops along Michigan Ave.

Our room was clean and just what we needed. We weren't in for a long stay ... only thing that would of been nice is a lounge/bar in hotel but many in area.

Construction in the front lobby, but hotel overall very clean and modern. Free internet access. Good, free breakfast. Room small but clean.

Not only did our luggage not arrive, my cell phone was misplaced. The desk clerk called the cab company for me himself to report the loss. The staff was very concerned about our luggage and helpful in storing it when it did arrive. In addition, given our situation, we were in need of a room to take a shower before we headed to the airport. The desk clerk was kind enough to not only store our luggage after we checked out, but found an opne room and allowed us to take showers upon our return after our workshop. This is some of the best and most accomodating customer service I have received in a long time.

The hotel was average. While we were there the lobby was under construction. The heat in the room kept turning on and off, which was noisy. We eventually turned it to just "fan" which kept the noise a constant. However, it got cold in the room. Overall, it was an average hotel. The location was great -- walking distance to Michigan Avenue.

my family & i stayed 4 nights here. they were renovating the lobby but the rooms upstairs were very well maintained and clean. location is great. lots of great restaurants w/in 2 blocks, and even a grocery store 2 blocks south. great shopping on michigan just a few blocks away. we really appreciated being able to take quick breaks during the day in the hotel, something u can't do staying farther from the city. room is quiet and there's make-it-yrslf hot breakfast in the morning. all in all great place to stay! ps check out the indian restaurant across the street!

Fairfield is located a block off Michigan Avenue and all the shopping and restaurants. We walked to the Art Institute and Millenium Park (about one mile) and enjoyed being so close to all the attractions along Michigan Avenue. The lobby of the hotel was undergoing renovation, but it really didn't affect our stay at all. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. The room would have been too small (two double beds) if there had been more than two of us. But we had a view of Lake Michigan from our window, which was a pleasant surprise!

Bare bones for this location but 2 block walk to Michgan Avenue. Got what I expected for the price.
