Hampton Inn JFK Airport - Jamaica

Fast and friendly airport pick up and delivery and all interactions with staff were first rate. I came in from overseas tired and was treated like a valued customer! i would recommend! super room bedding and layout.

Just loved this hotel! The room is comfortable and big enough, clean, the bed is big and tall:) and most important - comfortable. location is good (if you have a car) - close to the freeway.

We stayed here for two nights, once on our way to Europe and the other on the way back home to the Southwest US. The desk staff was always friendly and efficient. The room was clean and well maintained. We prepaid and got a very competitive rate for the room considering the other hotels in the area. The shuttle to JFK was very convenient from the hotel to JFK but did not arrive at the time promised from the airport to the hotel. (However it was midnight) Overall, I would definitely consider staying here again and we have stayed at all three hotels in the area at different times and different trips.

We really appreciated the front desk service.....the only bad thing about the hotel was that our room smelled like cigarettes. we did not complain because we were tired and just wanted to settle in for the night. The shuttle service is a huge plus.

Wae have stayed at several other hotels in the JFK area in the past and were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the facility and the attitude of the hotel staff, so when we were bumped off our flight early Saturday morning we were not looking forward to another stay in a JFK area hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised with the Hampton Inn! The staff was very attentive and extremely accomodating in spite of the fact that they were dealing with a completely booked hotel due to weather conditions the night before. Although we were unable to check-in early because the hotel was full, the staff locked up our luggage and invited us to have breakfast in the lobby. We then took the hotel shuttle to a nearby mall and spent the day shopping. We returned to the hotel and checked in to a clean, comfortable, and extremely quiet room. Harry at the front desk was outstanding and I can't say enough good things about his customer service. They recommended a great restaurant (Lenny's)close by in Howard Beach and assisted us in transportation to the restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel and will not hesitate to stay here again.

great room for the money, but u gotta be travelling , if not not suitable as it is quite far from town

We found staff to be very helpful,our room was spotless,clean sheets every day,kitchen facilities excellent.Our holiday was very relaxing due to all of above.

I was very impressed at how nice the front desk staff were. I was at ease and comfortable!! The hotel was very clean with ample free parking. The breakfast was pretty good. Wish they had eggs though. Overall it was a very good experience.

overall hotel was very nice. Staff was very friendly. location was great!! The only thing that was kind of disturbing was that checkout time was at 12pm.. Why was housekeeping entering the room at 8am without a knock?? They got an eye full!! NOT COOL!! There was no donot disturb sign in the room. A knock would of been appreciated. Everything else was wonderful I would recommend to anybody.

Good hotel - convenient location, clean, in a safe neighborhood. Breakfast OK. No washer-dryer (the hotel next door does).

The primary reason I booked this hotel was the free shuttle from the airport terminal to the hotel. Unfortunately, the 30 minute wait for the shuttle was far more than the wait I expected. However, when I arrived at the hotel, the staff was polite & helpful. The room was neat and clean. This helped make up for the shuttle experience. Overall, a good value for the money.

I requested a room with one king bed. Instead there were two full beds in the room. When I went back downstairs, the guy at the front desk said he would have "to check to see if anything else was available." In the end, he found a room or I would have asked for a refund. In addition, none of the vending machines seem to work.

Nice rooms, very comfortable and clean. The hotel staff was very helpful, informative and cheerful. We would stay here again. Though the room was a little expensive compared to other Hampton Inn's in which we've stayed. Guess that's NY?

The Hotel was ok, staff courteous and they made sure we were comfortable for the time that we stayed there,, I would recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff greeted me upon arrival and departure. You must call from the airport for shuttle service but they are highly responsive. I would stay here again. Dinner at the adjacent Holiday Inn was OK, not great.

After spending twice as much for hotels around LaGuardia I was very surprised to find a very comfortable bed and very courtious staff at this hotel. I will for sure stay there again.

Clean and comfortable; close to JFK but NOT under flight path. Hot breakfast with fresh fruit and good coffee, plenty of choices, was better than expected. Shuttle to JFK every 1/2 hour from 4am to 2am a plus, on time and clean. A bit on the pricey side but we booked one day prior so a good deal under the circumstances. I would recommend.

My room was not cleaned on the second day. When I brought it to the hotel management's attention, they merely brushed it away and asked me whether I wanted it clean at this point which was 5 pm in the afternoon. I am requesting a refund for the second night stay.

The phone in our room did not work. The desk clerk was supposed to, but did not give us an access code for wireless Internet access along with our room key when we checked into the hotel. It took five calls and an hour wait for the hotel shuttle to pick us up from JFK. The hotel is not on the airport grounds but in a somewhat sketchy neighborhood some four miles away and has no restaurant. We ended up eating dinner at the hotel next door. I chose this hotel because others recommended it as a good value. In hindsight, I would have spent the extra money for another hotel.

This hotel is a good value if you do not have to be in Mid-town Manhattan. There's a free shuttle to/from the JFK Air Train which connects to the LIRR. The room was a moderate-sized, comfortably equipped, King-sized bed room. The only drawback was that there was no bar or restaurant in the hotel. For that you had to go next door (connecting hallway). The complimentary breakfast was fresh and plentiful with many hot and cold options. The location is good for short stays if your trekking into NYC.

I was very happy to be away from the hustlbe and bustle of NYC and allowed me to get rested for my overseas trip. Great breakfast! Wake up call, shuttle serice,everything went well. Thank you.

ROOM EXCELLENT BUT RECEPTION STAFF POOR AND HAD TO WAIT FOR NEARLY AN HOUR FOR THE SHUTTLE BUS FROM THE AIRPORT UNTIL BUS DRIVER FROM NEIGHBOURING HOLIDAY INN TOOK PITY ON US AND PICKED US UP. SUGGEST USING HOLIDAY INN BUS THAT COMES EVERY 10 MINUTES OR GETTING TAXI STRAIGHT FROM ARRIVAL TERMINAL SO DO NOT NEED TO USE AIRTRAIN AND HANG AROUND WITH ALL YOUR LUGGAGE + KIDS ALSO POOL DID NOT WORK WHILE WE WERE THERE WHICH WAS MAIN REASON I HAD CHOSEN THE HOTEL FOR A SWIM AFTER LONG FLIGHTS! USED HAMPTON INN NORTH TIMES SQUARE FOR REST OF TRIP, EXCELLENT, CENTRAL LOCATION, BIG BREAKFAST INCLUDED, TWO QUEEN BEDS MUCH BETTER SERVICE TOO.

I decided to stay on this hotel because it is close to the JFK but, based on what I paid, I don't feel confortable with the enviroment and the room. Additionally, it is far away from Manhathan and the neighborhood, arriving from I-678, is not so good.

We stayed in this hotel to catch my flight next day. The hotel room was very clean and confortable. Their bus service to JFK is very prompt and personnel was very helpful. They also had bus service to Quenns Mall which was appreciated by my family members to spend time until our flight.
