Hotel de Korenaer - Amsterdam

five min walk from everything, rooms are small but clean and have everything you'd need for a few days in the dam, would definately book again. enjoy

This hotel is located in busy city centre of Amsterdam, which is a great convenicence. You can reach all torurist attraction within 10mins. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was enjoyable. However, rooms are very small and somewhat stuffy. But with great location and friendly service, I'd recommand this hotel.

The Hotel de Korenaer is, whilst centrally located, unbelievably overpriced given the rooms are tiny and dirty and shabby. The breakfast is a joke - either rice puffs or choco flakes, as well as toast with ham, cheese or jam. Poor value for money.

Typical small downtown-hotel i Amsterdam, not spacious in any way. Not comparable to the larger chain hotels, but a likable, simple hotel with clean rooms and nice staff. The room is, in my opinion, perfect for my needs. I only spent time there showering and sleeping (and the occasional afternoon nap), if you plan on spending some quality time in your hotel you might want to find something nicer (and more expensive).

This hotel is in a very busy, noisy part of Amsterdam. They charge more for being in the "center" of things. You can get a much nicer hotel for the same price in a quieter part of town. There were basically no amenities. The TV in the room was small, all static, and had no remote. There was no way to order movies, no phone in the room, the shower was teeny and had poor drainage. Rarely did we have clean towels to use and when we asked for some, they weren't given to us until the next day. The rooms have probably not been renovated for at least 10 years. My friend saw 3 mice in 4 days in the restaurant downstairs. When I was running a little past check out time, trying to get my suitcase packed, I was harassed continuously by the hotel staff. At one point, there were 4 people banging on my door demanding I vacate the room. Mind you, it was only about 20 minutes past the regular check out time. This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in in any country and I have stayed in many hotels.

Hotel was a good value. Room came with a hearty breakfast.

I read reviews saying this single (read twin bed) room was tiny, so I was expecting small. Overall the place was basically what I expected. Two complaints: 1) the floor and thus everything on the floor had a slight tilt. This means the bed was leaning slightly. No I wasn't on anything to make the room spin... Stand a Euro on the TV stand and it rolls down hill. 2) No TV remote. This place would be much better with a few small things such as fixing the loose tiles in the bathroom and providing a hook to hang clothes and jackets. A few simple things would go a long way. I also could no find a knob or switch to turn up the heat.

It's certainly central enough, but shabby, noisy and run down. It was reasonably clean, but the decor was grubby, the TV channels limited and the hot water took ages to arrive. The room was small, with nowhere to hang clothes.

Lift was under repair upon arrival - couldn;t get our bags up to the 5th floor until it was fixed (was fixed within an hour). Had to request a room change as a reslt of strong foul odor in the original room. New room had no view at all. and was about 8' x 10'. Lamp and safe didn't work and we were never provided wash clothes. The bed linens, room, and bathroom were clean and we felt reasonably secure. This was my first time in Amsterdam, hence, I've no other hotels to compare in that area. This is similar to hotels in which I've stayed in Paris but this one was more expensive for like accomodations.

The Hotel is clean, but small rooms and pretty basic. But, a good value for the price. It has a vey good restaraunt. It is located in the heart of central Amsterdam and walking distance from the train station. Great access to public transportation anywhere in the City and beyond.

(Enkeltværelse) Meget små værelser med ubehagelig hårde senge og tynde dyner. Godt og rent badeværelse. Dejlig roligt på trods af restaurent/bar i underetagen og central beliggenhed.

Decisamente economico rispetto ad altri che si trovano nel centro della città. Peccato che, sebbene vi fosse la signora delle pulizie che sistemava le camere ogni giorno, dimenticassero di pulire la moquette in camera. Alla reception erano comunque gentili. La camera dove alloggiavamo era affacciata sulla via principale e quindi alla sera, causa scarsissimo isolamento delle finestre, sentivo chiaramente le chiacchiere delle persone che vi transitavano.

Très bien situé, près de la gare centrale donc du centre d'intérêt de A'dam. Chambre suffisante mais mal éclairée avec un manque de lampe de chevet pour la deuxième personne. Le personnel est très sympathique, coopératif et accueillant. Nous y retournerons si l'occasion se présente.

value for money, for a 2 star hotel i was happy !
