Hampton Inn New York Chelsea - New York

Hotel: Stille, nette kamers / goede bedden / elke dag schone handdoeken / 82cm LCD TV met veel zenders / gratis ontbijt / vriendelijk personeel / beperkt roomservice, maar je kan takeaway bestellen van restaurants en het wordt tot aan je deur bezorgd. Hotel heeft ook een aantal restaurant folders liggen in de lobby / Fitness ruimte in kelder. Ligging: goede ligging met 2 metro lijnen aan beide kanten van blok / een van de beste supermarkten op de hoek (fresh food market) / Veel restaurantjes op loopafstand / 5-10min met metro bij Times Square / Wallstreet / Central Park / ect. Aanrader!

Uitsteken kwaliteit-prijs verhouding. Personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Kamer king bed was ruim opgesteld, simpel in a trendy warm design. De badkamer is groot en voorzien van alle benodigdheden. Het ontbijt (gratis) was simpel en zal het meest van de klanten tevreden stelen. Als je een wat uitgebreider ontbijt wil dan zijn er genoeg Diners, Lunch gelegenheden om goedkoop te ontbijten. Een aanrader is de "Friend of a Farmer" Irving place 77, tussen 18th en 19th street, erg populair in het weekeind. Ik zou wel waarschuwen alle die de Shuttle service van het hotel willen gebruiken. De shuttle doet eerst 2 of drie andere hotels in Manhattan wat nogal lang duurt ( 1 uur) voordat je onderweg bent naar JFK. Dus vragen voor vertrek anders calculeer een uur extra in de reistijd nogal belangrijk als je een intercontinentaal vlucht heb en de lange file op de snelweg. Een alternatieve is de Train van Penn Stations ( 32 street) die doet 20 minuten over naar Jamaica station voor 15 $ waar je de Air train pakt voor de vele JFK terminals. ( in Plaats van gemiddeld 2 huren met de shuttle voor 27 & de man). Ik heb enorm genoten van het Hotel en mijn verblijf in Manhattan. Aanrader is de Century 21 winkel bij ground zero voor Designerkleren met gigantisch kortingen bovenop de al dure Euro....Echt koopjes!!!

Very pleased with the value and location of this hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean if somewhat small (typical for NY) rooms. Convenient to public transportation and the very lively Chelsea neighborhood. I'll be back.

The hotel was right around the corner from where I was working, so the convenience was high. Free breakfast was a plus, though got bored with the selection quickly. Free internet. comfy beds. I will stay there as often as I need to for work.

The hotel was wonderful, very clean and breakfast was great. Being the first time I was in New York and heard horror stories on hotels, this was not one of them! Everyone that worked there was helpful and very nice.

Room was a little small, but it as in NY so that was expected. Service was excellent! Perfect location to visit New York!

This is a great hotel, but the full rate is pricey. If you can get a deal, the location is perfect for anyone wanting to be in that part of the City. The rooms are small, but very comfortable, clean and new. The wifi is superb (fast!) and the included breakfast is a nice touch, although the breakfast room tends to fill to capacity quickly.

The hole experience was Outstanding this is my second time to say in this hotel. Very Happy from the room, location and staff.

I checked in at about 6:30 pm with a very pleasant front desk agent. I went to my room and it appeared wonderful, with a great view. I had to leave quickly and didn't get back until after midnight. When I pulled the comforter back I noticed MANY body like hairs on the top sheet and when I pulled it back there were even more on the fitted sheet. The housekeeper obviously didn't change the sheets but just remade the bed. I immediately called to ask if a manager could come up and inspect what I'd found. No one was available to but the agent said that she would send someone up immediately to change my sheets. When the man came he just handed the sheets off to me and told me he wouldn't change them. So, at 2 am I was changing my sheets. I took the sheets to the front desk and made the girl look at them and she too was horrified. The problem was taken care of in the form of a comp coupon for the next stay. Having been a hotel manager I understand that "things" happen and if the man had changed the sheets as he was supposed to I would have been okay. Still skeeved out but okay. Once the sheets were changed the room was great and aside from the idiot who brought the sheets the customer service was top good too.

The location is what I'd stress. The hotel is about a block from the 6th Ave. subway. On 23rd are diners and a very good wine shop. 24th street is just a block North of 23rd street, but much quieter. The hotel had a European feel to it. 7th and 8th Ave. are stocked with great restaurants and bars. The one weak point is the breakfast service. There are regular tours booked in here and they descend upon the breakfast area with a desperation that made us go around the corner to diner. Other than that, it was a very good experience.

My mother and I stayed at this hotel during a visit to New York and were quite satisfied. It isn't a luxury hotel and the rooms are small, but we got a very good price and the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. We loved the Chelsea location and the fact that it was right around the corner from Whole Foods.

This hotel was as nice as others I have Stayed at in the city, at twice the price.

We were very satisfied. The location was very convenient for folks wanting to travel throughout NY by subway, as it's right by the F line, and just a few blocks from many other lines. The front desk folks were very pleasant. The hotel was in great condition. The only possible negative is that it's not located on a particularly pleasant block; but the general neighborhood is just fine.

Room clean, service outstanding and everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Great value for the money. Would definitely stay there again.

Impeccable service; polite staff; super clean; great breakfast.

The Hampton Inn in Chelsea was definitely a shocking experience. When I first found the deal, my friends and I definitely were amazed for the price we paid. The location was excellent and the rooms were always clean, well-stocked and taken care of. The staff, in general, was exceptional. The only thing I could find fault with the hotel is that the room is a little small, but it was to be expected.

I am still amazed at how nice this hotel was, especially given the price. I've paid 3 times more on other occasions in NYC for much less. The room was clean and well appointed, the breakfast was really nice, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Oh, and the location is great--you can walk to the Village or to the theatre district with no problems.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Great location-near lots of great and reasonable restaurants and convenient for transportation -both walking and subways. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again

Three of us stayed here for a weekend trip to NYC. Our room accommodated all of us well. The hotel location was great with easy access to subways. The rate was very reasonable and with a complete breakfast included hard to beat. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and were able to assist us with all requests and questions. Nice amenities such as WiFi, computers, etc. Highly recommended...

We paid about what you would expect for a hotel in the city at a convenient location. This hotel has small rooms but they are extremely clean with very comfortable beds. The continental breakfast was a nice treat. Stayed here once about 3 years ago and would definitely stay here again.

Good price for a NYC hotel at this level of quality. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful and there was nothing wrong with the place, it was clean and well maintained.

This hotel was in the heart of the city close to all lower Manhatten neighborhoods! It was on a quieter street just a few steps from the hustle of 6th Ave. The staff was curtious, helpful, and promptly helped us to our room and with our questions. The provided breakfast, 2 computers, and free WiFi were all part of our wonderful experience at the Hampton. We will most certainly stay there again during the next visit!

Good location for seeing New York. Rooms are clean with good beds. Limited number elevators is a bit of a hassle if you stay on the top floors

Great Hotel - Great Experience !

Impressed with desk help with directions to destinations. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was GREAT and convenient for us out-of-towners!

We were completely satisfied with our stay. We shared the room with our two girls ages 9 and 11 and had plenty of room. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast fine and filling. Terrifically centrally located. Very pleased. Family from Portland, Oregon

The breakfast was really nice and more than I expected for inner NYC. Employees were very friendly.

Room was up to date modern with internet, flat screen and very nice bathroom. We were there to visit son at NYU...location is perfect: between Penn Station and the Village - an easy walk in both directions.

This hotel was wonderful. Great breakfast, including some good hot options. Exceptionally nice and accommodating staff. They have an affiliation with a parking garage a few doors down with rates lower than I found elsewhere. The subway stop for the orange line is literally right around the corner. Bedding was very comfortable, and mind you, I am extremely picky. The towels were soft, not scratchy as I've experienced elsewhere. They have wi-fi access, but also two computers with printers downstairs for those of us not traveling with our laptops. I felt very safe in this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in last Christmas season. The room was clean, staffs were very kind. If you request a microwave, you can use it for free while you are staying. And 23rd subway station is very close to here. (2 mins by walking) They also provide complimentary breakfast every morning. I'd like to stay here again next time.

I was very impressed by the cozy feel of the rooms close together but nice plush bedding. Solid amenities for business travelers. (easy charging area, wifi)

The Hampton Inn was convenient to subway and shopping. The room was always clean and the staff was very helpful. This is a great value for the money.

Great room. Everything from interior funishings to linens and bathroom fixtures seem to be maintained in 'new' condition. Very clean overall. Our room had a great view. Very convenient to 7th & 8th Ave Subway lines.

Nice hotel, staff friendly and helpful, location great, breakfast included and great way to start the day! Only complaint was that the hot water pressure was low part of our stay, but improved during our stay. View was great on the higher levels! Would stay there again!

If you have business in or around Chelsea and are on a limited budget, this is a real find. Hampton Inn is a reliable brand for comfort and cleanliness and this hotel lives up to those expectations. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Complimentary breakfast is standard fare, but fresh and filling. Three subway lines are within two blocks of the hotel and there are many fine restaurants and good shopping (on Broadway) nearby.
