Delta Hotel City Center - Amsterdam

I was put in the supposedly worst room the hotel. no windows, one towel, no soap, no sheet (just comforter) and no air conditioning.

Got a room on the bottom floor, nee basement. No window view. Overnight rain and the ceilings started leaking, waking me up at 6 am. Front desk did not even offer to comp the room.

Breakfast was good, room was good value for money, however absolutely no frills, the room didn't even have a phone. Would recommend for travellers who want to get out and see the sights and are not planning on staying in your room too long.

This is probably the worst hotel in Netherlands. No ironing board, dirty rooms, one window facing a brick wall! It was disgusting and makes you feel that way too

Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. My wife and I in one room. And 2 children in another. My room was without windows!! Dark and unclean. Leaved 1 night early because of these conditions. Hoteldesk unwilling to refund last night even though we cancelled immediately at arrival.

The receptionist was friendly and helpfull. But i would definately advise a travellor not to accept the first room that they are given. Ours was NOT up to expectations, however we were then offered a further two rooms and we accepted the last one we were shown. It provided a more spacious, cleaner and basically nicer environment to stay in.

Value of room for the location and size was great. Buffet breakfast was a treat. Only downfall of this hotel was the bedbugs that bit everyone staying in the room. Would not stay again.

Hotel is very central and great value. The rooms are basic but clean and spacious. We already have planned to go back in July.

Friendly staff - everyone I met there, room was clean, as close as you can get to the train station. It was not a big room ... but for my overnighter, it was perfect.

Near train station. Easy walk to many neighborhoods. Central spot. Room very very small but generally clean. A little on tired side. Very typically budget European hotel. Very busy street.

Hotel is spartan, but less expensive than others and the location was great. Room was very small as expected and the bathroom was OK. Buffet breakfast and cable TV very good. Security was good, but no visitors or food allowed to the rooms.

On walking into the room the first thing that struck me was the cigarette smoke smell, even though smoking is not allowed in the hotel, which never left the room even if we left the windows open. The room was pretty cold, the heater next to the window seemed broken. The carpet was threadbare and probably flea infested, and the view from our window was of a roof covered in cigarette butts and moldy old socks ?!

Very expensive due to conference in city taking all the rooms. Slow check-in. Dirty, shabby rooms. Even newish bathroom let down by mold on ceiling. Best thing about this hotel is it's location but this does not offset the poor standard of everything else. Do yourselves a favour and choose another hotel.

The hotel is very close to the Centraal Station area and all of the features surrounding that area We had arrived in the city at 11:00 am and while able to leave our cases in a secure area were unable to register before 2:00 pm. we returned at 1:45 pm and found the lobby empty of new residents but were told that we were too early, although the desk staff seemed available. We returned at 2:00 pm and had to wait 20 minutes to register because of the queue. The rooms may still have been in preparation but it seemed that we could still have performed the paperwork between 1:45 and 2:00 The room was quite large but had a few problems with electrical wiring which required some attention in terms of fixing plugs into wall and hiding wiring in wall rather than behind curtains. we moved one of the beds away from the loose wall plug The restaurant and breakfast meals were fine and the staff willing and helpful at all times The noise levels even with an open window were very low even though we were in the main area of the city. It is a convenient central point to visit the sights most of which are within walking distance

Great hotel for the first-timer. Good central location. A short walk from train station. All trams close by. But hotel is warn. Carpet very old and dirty. Strange windows that opened into a solarium so room was warm. You could have a problem with party-neighbors. Currently, under going remodeling. Noise starts at 0730 from it. Nice breakfast.

Good: Hot breakfast buffet, helpful staff,near city center, train, clean bed and bathroom. safe in room. Bad: Room needs new furniture, paint, wall repair, carpet was filthy, no cleaning close to walls.

The hotel staff were really helpful and friendly. Hotel is in a good location, not far from the train station so its easy to walk to when you arrive in Amsterdam. The room we stayed in was a bit dark and dingy with no view but we only slept there so it didn't really bother us. Breakfast was included and was great.

room was small but good,nice bed,good hot shower and a tv so what more do you want?good location for everything and 24 hour desk

We (6 in the family) were pleassed to be able to walk from the train station to the hotel in about 3 blocks. Tours were originated less than 2 blocks away. Hotel staff were some of the best we've ever encountered and let us leave our luggage for the whole day after we checked out. The breakfast (free) was an American -- bacon, eggs, etc. Three in a room was very workable. One room was on the 5th floor and the elevator only went to 4, but the stairs were very walkable. We definitely would stay there again.

It was OK. Reminded me of a beach town on the US East cost. The property is tired and need of updating, but things are maintained and clean. Rooms and furnishing are of a low standard -- but everthing works and the stay was uneventful. 5 min. walk from the Central station. I did feel safe at the hotel and the surrounding area.

The hotel was dirty, there were no non smoking room and bad neighborhood. I've never signed a boucher to for a TV remote control before. Very disappointed.

Søde mennesker. Alt på værelset var nedslidt. Halvdelen af lamperne virkede ikke. Badeværelse OK dog et stort hul i flliseren i brus. God beliggenhed i byen

Noe slitt hotell, men midt i blinken beliggenhet. Veldig hyggelige ansatte på hotellet.

Beliggenheden gjorde det let at komme til de forskellige ting der skulle ses.

worst hotel ever!!!

I think this is the worst hotel i stayed at in 15years travelling all over the world, I am not picky as long it is a good clean bed with a functional clean bathroom but I had a very small room with metall bars on the window......Check out before it is to late....

Veldig sentralt, fem minutter gåtur unna jernbanestasjon og resten av byen.

Das Zimmer war in Ordnung, TV funktionierte. Sowohl Zimmer als auch Badezimmer waren sauber, allerdings könnte das Hotel sicherlich in der nächsten Zeit mal eine Renovierung vertragen. Das Frühstück kann man sich getrost sparen. Toasbroat und ein Toaster für 50 Gäste... Wenigstens das Rührei war ok.

L'hôtel est pas trop mal mais ne vaut pas ses 3 etoiles. Le pdj est bien.

Bad hotel, roomservice and horrible beds. Breakfast was not good. This is not a 3 star hotel.

Hotellet är helt OK. Det ligger 5 minuter från Centralstaionen, nära shopping och restauranger. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal.

Nous sommes un couple de 30 ans qui voyagons beaucoup et nous avons vraiment été très décu de cet hôtel,la chambre nétait pas propre,taches sur la moquette et sur les draps!!!le lit double consistait a 2 matelas côte a côte de plus le lit etait vraiment une cuvette!!!!nous avions le petit dej jusque 10h et a 9h30 il n'ya avait plus rien a manger,beaucoup de bruit la nuit.... Bref nous avons été déçu par cet hôtel qui ne merite vraiment pas d'etoiles!!!seule chose positive,la salle de bain!!!

Hotelet ligger meget tæt på Amsterdam Central station og Red light distrikt, det hele i gå afstand inden for få minuter. Hotelet have meget venlig service, det udstyr man forventer samt ro. Det hele lige i midten af byen med udsigt til kanalrundfarterne. Perfekt sted.

Under den standart jeg havde forventet.

Hotellet ligger mitt i smeten med nära till det mesta. Personalen var trevliga och hjälpsamma. Rummet var enkelt men jättemysigt, om än lite kallt. Prisvärt!

Salve a tutti, l'albergo mi ha lasciato un impressione positiva. Non è un albergo a 5 stelle è normale, ma è sufficente per chi ha interesse a visitare la città e non la camera dell' hotel. Sono un ragazzo di 21 anni quindi dell'albergo pretendo poco anche perchè ci andavamo solo per dormire XD Faceva un freddo cane, 6 gradi, in stanza si stava molto bene, molto riscaldata con un calorifero gigante, in estate non saprei ma in inverno si sta bene. Personale molto gentile, alla reception ci sono anche italiani, tutti molto gentili quindi ve lo consiglio. Punto forte: scendi dall'hotel e sei in centro di amsterdam, quindi posizione ottima. Punto debole: la mia stanza era al quinto piano, soffitto troppo basso, il resto tutto ok. Saluti ;)

Reasonable price - but they must have stickerd the three stars on the wall themselves. I would say it is a one-star hotel.

Das Hotel liegt genial inmitten des Zentrums von Adam. Das Zimmer war mit Sicht in Innenhof, daher auch sehr ruhig. Das Zimmer war doch schon ein wenig heruntergekommen und der Teppich echt dreckig. Das Bad war sauber und das Frühstück doch eher grosszügig mit grosser Auswahl für ein solches Hotel. Für eine Nacht ist dies empfehlenswert.

Das Hotel wird mit 3 Sterne angegeben, was auf keinen Fall zutrifft. Das Haus ist alt und unrenoviert-die Tapeten, teilweise Teppiche an den Wänden fallen ab. Die Zimmer waren ungesäubert, Flecken und Haare auf der Bettwäsche und Matratze, die total durchgelegen waren. Also wir sind nicht pingelig, aber das Hotel hat mich doch geschockt. Zumal die Bilder im Netz total ansprechend aussahen. Einziger Vorteil-die wirklich zentrale Lage. Zum Parken würde ich empfehlen ausserhalb Amsterdams und dann mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln in die Stadt.

Très pratique quand on arrive en fin de journée. Accueil agréable et serviable. Très bien placé pour les visites touristiques. Petit-déjeuner correct. Par contre, la chambre était si petite que j'avais l'impression d'être dans un placard ! Salle de douche neuve et bien équipée.

CONFORT TRES LIMITE ET TRES BASIQUE, NE MERITE PAS 3*** MAIS PLUTOT 1* , PRIX INFERIEUR AU MARCHE QUI EST TRES CHER, PETIT DEJ A VOLONTE CORRECT...

Service et petit déjeuner corrects. L'hotel est situé près de la gare. Chambre propre mais franchement glauque

La chambre était en mauvais état, la porte de l'armoire cassé, une odeur de fumée froide, une saleté des mur et du sol inacceptable pour le prix, j'ai était piqué par des puces... A noté que le réceptionniste était très professionnel.
