Hotel Monasterium - Ghent

Bijzonder gebouwencomplex, smaakvol gerestaureerd met goede comfort. De idyllische binnentuin en het memorabele ontbijtbuffet maken een verblijf hier zeer aangenaam.

This hotel is only a short 5 minute walk from the old centre. It is clean and has everything you need from a hotel, it is not as comfortable as a larger hotel it does have the feel of a YHA, but what more do you need. The staff are very helpful. I would stay here again.

We greatly enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Monasterium. The room was extremely spacious, equipped with a kettle and a selection of tea and coffee (which you don't expect to find abroad). It was good to be able to leave our car in the hotel's car park (for a modest fee) and to walk the fairly short distance into the town centre. The hotel corridors and restaurant retained their monastic style, while the room had all mod. cons. The buffet breakfast was also very good. We would definitely like to stay in this hotel again, and see all the remaining sights of Ghent that we could not fit into this brief visit.

Spesielt hotell! Gammelt kloster, og et intakt katolsk kapell. Noe lytt kanskje, men helt OK.

Nice hotel. Worth a visit, located in the heart of Gent, restuarants, shop within wlaking distance. Very historic buildings, old monastary.

The buildings of the Monasterium are full of historical charm. A shame was that the paint on the bathroom wall was peeling. Otherwise, everything was clean and functional. The music at breakfast was too loud and annoying

Zimmer ausreichend gross aber schäbig eingerichtet. Frühstück (12 ? !!) absolut grauenhaft! Croissants und Rosinenschnecken verbrannt. Rührei nicht gewürzt und vertrocknet. Müsli hart. Brötchen altbacken.

L'hotel est bien situé car proche du centre ville. Le câdre est bien sans être exceptionnel, les moustiques sont un vrai problème de même que le service qui n'est vraiment pas à l'écoute des clients !! On vous répond qu'il n'y a plus de confiture de fraise et qu'il ne reste plus que de l'orange et débrouillé vous avec ça !! Bref il manque un vrai responsable qui enseigne au personnel que le client est important.

Ein großes altes Kloster, das nach und nach zu einem Hotel umgebaut wird. Alle Zimmer sind anders. Wir sind mit unseren drei jugendlichen Kindern dort gewesen. Unsere Kinder erhielten ein wunderschön ausgebautes Dachgeschosszimmer, neu vom Feinsten! Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer, das wahrscheinlich am Anfang des Hotelbeginns schon ausgebaut war. Das war nicht so schön, aber okay. Das Frühstück ist nicht der Hit, einfaches Buffet, nichts Besonderes. Klasse das Ambiente, gut die Lage. Preis und Leistung stimmen! Wenn man die Schwierigkeit eines Hoteliers berücksichtigt, einen alten Klosterkomplex in ein Hotel umzuwandeln, dann wird man sich für dieses Hotel begeistern können.
