One King West Hotel & Residence - Toronto

Eerste keer in Toronto en direct voor relatief weinig geld een toppertje van een hotel gescoord. Ik begreep dat elke kamer een suite is met volledige keuken eenheid, die van mij was dat in ieder geval wel. Ruim 500 kamers over veertig etages plus uitbreiding binnenkort, vraag naar uitzicht op zowel de stad als de haven. Ik wil graag nog een keer naar de stad terug en verblijf waarschijnlijk weer hier midden in downtown.

Het hotel ligt lekker centraal in Toronto en is van alle gemakken voorzien. Kamers zijn mooi groot omdat er ook een complete keuken inzit inclusief kookplaat, koelkast etc. Zelfs een wasmachine en droger zijn aanwezig. Voor europese begrippen ongekend. Hotel is verder erg netjes, personeel zeer vriendelijk. Prima hotel van waaruit je Toronto kan ontdekken. Ook zakelijk, zoals voor mij is het een aanrader !

The rooms are suites and the layout in the upper floors really is suite-like, with an office "area" and a sleeping area. The mini-kitchen (although unused during my stay) is a nice addition. Very clean and comfortable. The lobby, however, is small and crowded. The only downside.

This is the place to stay as far as we are concerned. Sometimes you can get a deal and weekends are usually less expensive but, it is well worth the money.

Would definitely stay here again. Staff: courteous, helpful, professional. Room: very nice, carpet a bit worn but still clean. Needed more towels and bath mat but hotel staff supplied these items when requested.

Excellent location

If you are looking for a hotel that is centrally located, self-service amenities, friendly attentive staff, then One King West is your Place. This is my second time staying and I loved it. I'm a no nonsense traveler and don't need someone in my face all the time, but don't get me wrong if you need service they are there to help. Nice intimate lobby bar, concierge service (knows the area!!) and very clean and spacious rooms! I'll be back!

I was in Toronto for 5 nights on business, traveling with my spouse and 18-year-old son. We needed a place where my son could stay up later than us, and where they could have a quick breakfast before heading out. This was perfect. Our bed was very comfortable, and the sofa bed worked out great. (I'm told it was also quite comfortable for a sofa bed.) Fridge, microwave, coffee pot--all as advertised. The location is also great: subway across the street, direct access to the underground PATH system, easily walkable to CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Convention Centre, etc.

Hotel iooks better on the website then in real life. Studios are very small. We were charge for parking even though we didn't have a car there. Houskeeping service wasn't good. Food at the buffet was cold. We expected much more.

Outstanding location in downtown toronto, the suite we stayed in had a commanding view of the city and the harbor. Room was extremely nice for quite a cheap rate.

I loved this one-room suite! Fold-away bed left plenty of space for entertaining. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, fridge...I wish I could have stayed more nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I only wish there was parking other than valet.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay days 6 stay at this hotel. Only things I could change would be having Wifi in the room instead of the one single cord and if the cost of parking was included in the price but those are very minor things and over all, I would stay at 1 King West again next time I got back to Toronto on vacation.

I was very impressed with the hotel. It was in a great location with a beautiful view of the city. My only complaint about the hotel was that I was charged a "security deposit". My hotel stay was paid in full but I was told that a small sum will be held until the end of my stay. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting.

The staff was extremely helpful, even showed us three rooms to chose between since there are various one bedroom styles available. The room was aesthetically nice but a bit uncomfortable with uneven air flow (living room ws cold, bathroom was hot & bedroom was comfortable)& no TV in the bedroom. Items were stolen from our car while it was held by the hotel valet - of cousre this soured our experience a bit.

What is really nice is the fact that you have a washer and dryer in each room so you can pack lighter and still have clean cloths for your trip.. The small kitchen is also nice for keeping snacks around.

I got a great rate for the value. The hotel is in a great location and is just as good, if not nicer, than many of the hotels in the area.

The staff at this hotel was like non other. They were very helpful and polite. The rooms are fantastic

I was extremely satisfied with the Suite at 1 King West. The room was great - along with the view from the 42nd floor. The amenities throughout the room were great, the bed was comfortable, and the valets were helpful. For being such a big place, it was really hard to find during rush hour though. It took us awhile to reach the door. The front desk was top notch, we asked two different times for recommendations - for a restaurant that was quick but a little more high end and then a bar, and both were great recommendations.

Really complete small kitchen, comfortable bed and great location

The only questionable thing noted on our stay is the bed was not that great! It was very hard and uncomfortable. Everything else awesome!

Beautiful room. Excellent Location. Price to park a bit pricy. Only 4 elevators in entire hotel, wait was very long. Hotel put a hold on credit card that we never knew about until arrival. Will stay again.

I used to live in Toronto, and have since stayed at many hotels there. This one was new to me, and very good experience. $40 per day parking and $10 per day wireless fee (why???) make it less of a bargain than it initially seems.

location excellent, view awesome! $45 for valet parking is a bit expensive however. other than that, everything was good

I chose this hotel based on other people's reviews and because the facilities in the room looked great. I wasn't disappointed - but I have to say my expectations weren't exceeded either. The room had everything I expected, with the filter coffee being a nice touch. But milk cartons rather than dried milk would have been nice, as would having more than one tea bag provided each day - but perhaps I'm just being too picky. The reception staff could have been a bit friendlier and a bt more forthcoming with information about the hotel, and the bathroom could have been a touch bigger, but all in all a great place to stay and a great central location.

I cant wait to get back to the Suites. Where is the pool? I dont think there is one. But the convenience was A-OK!

Just down from the hockey hall of fame and within walking distance of the theatre district I would recommend this hotel to Toronto visitors. Great value and service.

Great location. Awesome view. Nicely decorated room. Her upscale vibe. Amenities were great. The hotel itself was a great experience. My only complaint was the $40 to valet my vehicle.

We thought we were getting a "superior" suite, but it was very disapointing. No real "living area" besides the bedroom. No dresser or anything to put clothes for stay of 7 days. Bathroom had no counter space either. Kitchen - don't plan on cooking on stove - only in microwave with very limited cutlery - 1 small paring knife, 1 regular knife, 2 forks, no frying pan or other pots. Bowl for microwave. TV in livingroom was above kitchen - so with 5ft of space you had to look up about 6ft! Neck would get sore! Under counter space was washer, D/W and Dryer - very compact. View from desk though was great.

We arrived a bit early for our check-in, but the staff was helpful and nice. They had a room ready for us on a much lower floor than what we had booked, and since we booked for the view we were not very interested in it. They then contacted the cleaning staff to expidite a room closer to what we wanted. After a short time (about 1/2 hour) they still didn't have a confirmation that a room was ready for us, but one of the front desk staff told us that because he could he upgraded us to a suite. No additional charge, a higher floor, nicer view. Every encounter with the hotel staff was a pleasent experience. They really made our stay that much more enjoyable.

This is a nice hotel but I have three complaints: 1) It took over 20 minutes for me to be able to get someone from room service on the phone (they ultimately had to call me back). There was likely an unusual event that caused my wait, but no one even offered a "sorry for the delay"... 2) The room was very bright all night -- clock on the microwave was bright, alarm clock was very bright, and there was a crack around the door to the hallway which let in large amount of light from the hall and lit up the room like a night-light. 3) My room was on the 7th floor right above the taxi stand so I could hear the street noise and taxi's come and go all night. If I book again, I'll need to request a room on the higher floors and bring a sleep mask.

The location of the hotel is convienent to the theatre district, shopping center, subway and trolly. We also found a terrific Italian restaurant two blocks from the hotel called Terroni. Highly recommend it. The staff was very helpful and would definitely stay there again. The room had all the ammenities, washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster,coffee maker etc.

This was our second visit to the Suites. As always the staff was wonderful. However, there was a problem with the lack of heat in our room. We will be staying there again though.

If you're looking for a very nice hotel close to the Hockey Hall of Fame, theater district, CN tower, and many more sights and sounds of Toronto, look no further! This was a very good place to stay - the room was very clean and comfortable, service was good, and as aforementioned, the location was unbeatable. The only hesitation I'd have in going back is the lack of amenities included; if you forget toilettries, expect to pay for them. Also, it would've been nice if their continental breakfast was less than $16 each, or if the hotel had a better restaurant. However, the surrounding area definitely supplemented what the hotel lacked.

Great hotel for the price. It was my second stay there and this time around was much improved. Customer service has improved much. I stayed on a higher floor with a great view this time and that seemed to make a difference as well. I would stay here again.

Hands down, it was one of the best hotel stays I have ever had. The staff was great. They allowed us to check in a little early and they gave us great directions around the city. I cannot say enough about the staff, they were so great/outstanding/courteous etc., they made my stay. The room I stayed in was spacious and had a nice size TV. (Important b/c it was Super Bowl weekend). The hotel was smack in the middle of Toronto’s version of Times Square and walking distance to the winter festival. I had a great time and I highly recommend this hotel for singles, families, couples or anyone who enjoys first class customer service, a great location, and a great room all for a low price.

What a great hotel! Perfect location, right by the subway, the room was great. We enjoyed a night at the bar chatting with local Canadians. Had a great time.

You will not find a better view of Toronto than in the tower section of 1 King West {Premium suite}. It comes with refridgerator, microwave, washer & dryer, strove, dishwasher and good tv channels & high speed internet port. Good room service foods. Beautiful room & beautiful view. Floor to ceiling glass windows. It's like living on a cloud. Very modern. Great temp control in room. The only draw back is a 3 block walk from airport express drop-off point at Fairmont Royal York.
