Hotel de Flandre - Ghent

Goede atmosfeer en vriendelijke alerte bediening, aangenaam om zakelijk te verblijven. De bar kan iets beter aangekleed of ingericht zijn.

locatie was perfect en een mooi hotel met vriendelijke service prijs van het ontbijt was aan de hoge kant dus tussen de inwoners op een terras een ontbijt gehad en dat was zeer geslaagd

zeer vreindelijk geholpen bij het inchecken. een spontane en goede uitleg van de bezienswaardigheden in het centrum gehad m.b.v. een plattegrond. In het centrum. Parkeren in P-garage om de hoek. Uitgebreid onbijtbuffet.

We went there for our anniversary weekend: the hotel is just around the corner from our favourite restaurant, Korenlei Twee. The room was spacious, comfortable and spotless and the staff were friendly and helpful. The one drawback was the noise from what seemed to be a cistern filling and emptying somewhere...

This hotel is so central it's fantastic, if you are travelling by car there is no parking though. It was clean and very quiet, and the reception staff were verry friendly and helpful. The only downside for us was that there was no kettle in the room so we couldn't enjoy our morning cuppa, but you are so near cafes outside it wasn't a big prblem. Also the hotel breakfast was superb. We would definitely recommend

The hotel is very well positioned within 100yds of the centre if old Ghent. The rooms were well appointed and the beds comfortable. The only minus was the access to them by an outside metal framed staircase. Otherwise the staff were charming and helpful and, contrary to the website, breakfast was included.

Great hotel located just off the city center. Hotel staff were very helpful. Rooms were very nice and well kept.

Very well placed for the centre of town, the Flandre is a nicely renovated, good quality hotel. But for one issue, I would certainly return or recommend to others. The issue centred around breakfast: charging thereof! Although I appreciate that breakfast was not included, to be charged 19 Euro per person for a buffet breakfast when the charge is not reflected anywhere is pretty steep! Beware - the most expensive, un-stated breakfast in Europe!

Location is the best attraction, right in the historical center of Ghent. One of the main reasons for my choice was availability of Internet. Comfortable and clean hotel, but for it's rating of 4 stars, the hotel lacks a lot. Breakfast is expensive and costs as much as lunch or dinner in nearby restaurants. With the center a few meters away, lunch and dinner is no problem with a large choice of restaurants and bistros offering a large choice. The bar in the hotel is convenient for having a coffee with a guest or a late evening drink, or if you don't want to walk to a nearby drinking hole. TV in the room lacks English news channels. Overall, it is a good place to stay and good value for money. I will recommend, especially if on a short trip, as the location allows for stepping out of the hotel almost right into the town center, with a lot of choice for eating out and sight seeing.
