Golden Tree Hotel - Bruges

and that was not mentioned in the hotel description!

The hotel is about 50 metres from T'zand square and about 10 mins stroll to Markt and Burg. The old part of the hotel is beautiful but we were in a studio off the carpark. The room was really clean and had all the amenitites but felt a little detached from the main hotel. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel had reead on the booking notes of another guest that it was her birthday so over breakfast they sang happy birthday and gave her some chocolates. I thought this was a lovely touch.

We rented 2 rooms with single beds. Rooms and beds were good. Water stopped during shower in one of the rooms and it was a trickle thereafter. IT IS BAD! The other room was ok. Breakfast was good. Car parking was free and good. It is a great location to walk to Brugge center. Overall, a good hotel, a bit pricy, with shower problem (I suppose it is not a regular phenomena).

The hotel was much nicer then I expected, great location 5 minutes from the main hub. The breakfast was amazing excellent value for money it was described as a continental breakfast but you could also get boiled eggs!! The hotel had great charchter would definitely go back.

The staff on reception were so helpful and friendly they made our stay run smoothly; giving suggestions for lesser known sights and nearby restaurants. The hotel was charming and our room was very comfortable with a wonderfully deep bath; perfect after a rainy walk around the canals of Bruges. The location was perfect; only a 15 minute walk from the train station, and a 5 minute walk to either of the main shopping streets which lead to the market square and most of the tourist attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a weekend break in Bruges.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was an excellent size for 2 adults and a child, the location was very central, and the breakfast provided each morning was lovely! We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is a short cab ride from the train station and on the edge of the historic area. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and provided suggestions for a scenic walk, tips on restaurants and shops and even suggestions for Ghent. My room was spacious; however, there was no elevator, so those who dislike stairs may want to call ahead for room availability. The Internet was not working in my room; however, there was a terminal in the lobby. The breakfast was adequate with the typical selections of cereal and bread.

Very close to city center. the pepole are very kind and willingness to help.

It is slightly disappointing because the photographs of the hotel on the website give a luxury feel which is not quite there. Hardly any service at all. The rooms were only cleaned at the end of our stay when we left. It can be quite noisy with the traffic. The highlight was the buffet breakfast and proximity to the centre.

excellent hotel for short visits, good clean hotel, short walk to all what bruges can offer

The hotel has the added bonus of free parking (tho this can be tight at busy times) and a delicious buffet breakfast. Our room-No.11-had a fantastically opulent door but it opened onto a very snug room. However, it was stylish and clean and an ideal base when all you're using it for was a base. Good distance from centre of Bruges and its roadside location wasn't too problematic as Bruges tends to shut down from about 9pm.

The roof was undergoing repairs during our stay however this did not detract from the well maintained and appointed rooms and public areas. The staff were friendly and very helpful and all spoke English. Located just outside old Bruges on the fairly busy ring road yet just across the market square from the main shopping streets with restaraunts pubs and sights all close by and within walking distance. Parking is also avaliable at the hotel free of charge and is a must when taking a car to avoid ruining it on the cobble streets of the old town.

Reception and breakfast were in the main building but we stayed in the wonderfully quirky room in the corner of the carpark which has the bathroom underneath the bedroom and the seating area on top of the four poster bed. It was great fun. The historic centre of Bruges is a very short stroll away.

Hotel is located on a very busy main access road, with constaint traffic all dayand most of the night. Was clean and comfortable, when we stayed there they were redecorating, would have been nice to have known this before we arrived as we would have gone to another Hotel. Also they close reception at night and just to let you know that your room key is also the night door key, as we were not told of this. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff, when I go again I will saty at a hotel closer to the main market. Would recommend but remember the road!!!

Room 16 of The Golden Tree Hotel in Brugge is clean, quiet, comfortable and newly refurbished. The bed was so comfortable and the ensuite facilities first class. The lady owner kept us right so far as dining out was concerned and also where to get the best the best chocolate. We had a lovely time.

Wonderful breakfast in the elegant hotel dining room. Extremely helpful front desk gentleman gave us ideas for a scenic walk and tips on great restaurants and shops. Brugge is a photographer's paradise with canals, narrow alleys, flowers, beautiful churches. Great shops and chocolatiers everywhere! We had a excellent weekend despite the rainy weather!

Chambre un peu petite mais confort et locaux de très bon niveau. La réception de l'hôtel à été très accueillante et très serviable. La chambre très bien isolée pour le bruit de la rue proche. Proximité du centre ville. Manque juste la clim .... Parking & wifi gratuit !

Prestation de qualité. Excellent rapport qualité prix. Personnel charmant et compétent.

L'ACCUEIL EST TRES SYMPATHIQUE,LE PETIT DEJEUNER EST BIEN POURVU MAIS LE MANQUE D'INSONNORISATION DES FENETRES EST A DEPLORER. LA FOURNITURE DE SAVON DE BAIN EST UN PEU LIMITE.

Personnel accueillant, chambre propre et calme, petit-déj. ok, TV à multiples programmes, hôtel à proximité du centre de Bruges, parking à l'hôtel gratuit, et on peut déambuler à pied en ville.

Nous sommes très satisfait de l'hotel aussi bien au niveau de la chambre que du petit déjeuner très diversifié et bon. Le cadre est très sympa et sa position proche du centre ville apprécié ainsi que le parking adjacent est un plus.

nous avons dormi dans les anciennes écuries restaurées de ce confortable hôtel à deux pas du centre de Bruges.les enfants (et nous mêmes!) ont apprécié le petit déjeuner copieux .Le personnel parle peu le Français mais reste prompt à rendre service.

Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits à cet hôtel, il est facile à trouver et dispose d'un parking privé ce qui est un atout car à Bruges tous les parkings sont excentrés et payants. L'hôtel est calme et nous avons été conseillé sur les restaurants et les musées à faire dès notre arrivée. Le petit déjeuner est servi sous forme de buffet toujours approvisionné. Munissez vous d'argent liquide car à Bruges les cartes bleues ne sont pas les bienvenues, en général pas en dessous de 20 euros (25 euros minimum à l'hôtel), pourboire oblige notamment dans les restaurants. Un bon weeke end en tout cas !

hotel très bien situé avec bon rapport qualité prix. parking pour le véhicule. chambre ok même si la salle de bain est un peu rustique. accès Wifi gratuit. bon accueil.

Très bien situé et disposant d'un parking gratuit pour sa clientèle (valable également le jour du départ). Le petit déjeuner est copieux et dans un beau cadre. Un petit bémol sur la chambre qui sent le renfermé.

Sehr nah am Markplatz, dadurch nicht weit von den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren sehr komfortabel und wirklich aussergewöhnlich sauber. Wir hatten die Wahl zwischen Zimmernr. 11 und 13, unsere Entscheidung viel auf Nr. 11, es war zwar kleiner, aber war im ganzen besser als 13, und hatte einen schönen Fensterblick. Für uns war es sehr vorteilhaft, dass das Hotel einen sehr großen Parkplatz hatte, natürlich kostenfrei, da wir mit dem Auto angereist waren. Wir haben den Aufenthalt in Brugge sehr genossen.
