Auberge du Vieux-Port - Montreal

This is a charming place with lovely rooms and an exceptionally pleasant and helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely stay there again if I return to Montreal.

The bathrooms and rooms are lovely and CLEAN! The included breakfasts are just wonderful and so is the wine and cheese at night. The staff is welcoming and really accomodating. Unfortunately, the noise from the street for the back rooms and the drumming noises and trains are annoying for the harbor view rooms. Bring ear plugs and you will be fine.

The hotel had much charm and is in an ideal section of Montreal. The only issue with the loft apartment rooms was that if you are 6'3" - you will have ample opportunity to bang your head as the clearance to the mezzanine area of the bed is quite low.

Upon arrival I learned that we had a loft a block or so away from the hotel arranged for us. It was like a small home and all newly remodeled. Ask for room 802!!! It was above a jazz bar and right downtown. It was a perfect stay. Just a little noisy in the morning, but thats all of Montreal.

We stayed in one of the lofts. It was huge and well appointed. The service is outstanding. Because we went in the off season, the price was very reasonable. Can't wait to go back. The only thing was that there were a lot of amenities that Hotels.com listed that were not available in the loft. For example, Hotel.com said there would be breakfast included and bathrobes & slippers. That was not the case in the lofts, so keep that in mind.

We were in the Lofts, which are around the corner from the hotel. Ours had a terrific view of Rue St-Paul, the oldest street in Montreal and VERY charming. The view was so great I pulled up an armchair to enjoy it. Half the lofts would have that view and half wouldn't , so ask if that's of value to you. Old Montreal is quite lovely. We were in 706, which was 1000 sq feet - huge - with a washer /dryer (didn't know I was getting that). It was 3 floors up, which I also didn't know about, but it was fine. The Lofts are more like an apt (eg, no maid service) with a concierge available nearby.

Beautiful rooms, brick and stone walls, supporting beams and timbered ceilings. Excellent bedding - upscale all the way. Breakfast was delicious, great crepes, and wait staff was wonderful. Air conditioning is central, and we like it cold at night. It was not cold enough for us. Get a room on the river side, because the other side, on Rue St. Paul is very noisy during the summer.

I don't think we could have picked a better hotel to stay at. The location in Old Montreal was beautiful. Our room was charming and the staff was truly outstanding-especially Mathieau the Valet! We will definately be staying there again!

The Auberge couldn't have been more charming, and it looked exactly the way it looked on their website --from the stone walls and high ceilings, to Matthew at the door, as pictured. The staff is friendly and helpful, the location is lovely, I'd recommend the Auberge du Vieux-Port to anyone visiting Montreal.

My husband and I loved this inn. The room was beautiful, the bathroom was great and fully stocked. Every employee went above and beyond. There was a complimentary wine and cheese in the bar which was great. The breakfast was amazing. We obviously can't say enough about this place. We will return as soon as possible!

Ausgefallenes Hotelambiente, Essensmöglichkeiten im Freien (Garten und Dachterrasse) angenehm, Essen gut. Unterbringung im Loft, 3. Etage ohne Fahrstuhl, Gepäck wird jedoch vom Träger befördert. Leider sind in dem historischen Gebäude auch die Fenster historisch undicht, do dass man nicht vom nächtlichen Trubel in der Altstadt verschont bleibt, und um sechs Uhr morgens kommt die Straßenreinigung. Ausgerecht die Steckdose im Badezimmer war defekt und wurde auch nicht repariert. Klimaanlage nicht sehr störend, Betten sehr gut. Die Mitarbeiter an der Reception waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei der Komplettbelegung des Hotels musste man zum Frühstück viel Zeit mitbringen. Zum Buffet konnte man ein warmes Gericht bestellen.

Veldig fine rom, god frokost og best av alt hjelpsom service. Via mail før besøket hjalp betjeningen oss med både billetter til en ishockeykamp og med leie av bil.
