New World Hotel - New York

The rooms are expectedly small. The bathroom was reasonably clean. The towels were reasonable. One of the guys from the reception desk was helpful and spoke english, one did not speak english (at night).

I don't mind to rough it up in a small room with no windows and only the basics, but this hotel has such thin walls that even the snoring of the others seem a burden, whenever someone walks out of the room it feels like a military raid and you can listen to all of their conversations (even whispering ones)..

I wish they would have changed the sheets once in the 5 days we were there. And you can't receive voicemails in the room. The room was tiny, and the bed was smaller than advertised. The bed felt like a piece of plywood with a 1/2 inch of foam on it. It was near everything we wanted to see, and I didn't go to NY to sleep. And I felt secure there because you have to buzz to get into the lobby. The service at the counter was friendly enough.

this was the worst hotel i've ever stayed in. anyone considering this hotel, should get their head examined...

You know.. the hotel get's the job done. It's a room, very affordable, but it definately ranks as one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at my entire life. 1. You have to get buzzed in to be able to enter the hotel. 2. Staff's english skills are limited 3. They lost my reservation I made thru hotels.com 4. All the beds are tiny twins 5. My bed conforter had a hole in it. 6. I was forced to move after my first night stay since I was given a temp room my first night since they lost my reservation. My second room was soo small, you can't even rotate your bed around cause it hits the walls to put in perspective how small the rooms were. 7. Towels were cheap cheap cheap. Their the towels I use to dry my car. Again, if you really trying to stay within budget, it's in a decent location, but oh my god.. I'm never staying there again. To make matters worse.. since they messed up my reservation, the guy wasn't able to provide me a receipt for my hotel stay. Now I have to follow up with the guy to make sure he didn't over charge my creditcard.. ughh.

The hotel personal was not friendly, nobody smiled. The room was small, about 12 by 12 feet. The shower was dirty; there was long black hair on the floor. The towels were rough; there was a 1.5 inch hole in the towel. The blanket had 3 holes like scissors cut. There was some hair on the blanket. The bed was hard; it felt like a wooden board. There was not any heat and air; it was very cold at night. The window was very dirty and the wind was blowing through it. There was a ceiling fan but it was broken. The nightstand drawers were dusty. There was neither an iron nor a coffeemaker. In the morning I picked up my bag and found a cockroach on the floor. The only thing I liked is a hotel location.

Helt absurt lyhört. Väggarna i det här hotellet bara måste vara gjorda av papp eftersom du hör grannens minsta rörelse.

3m² Zimmer,Fleckige Handtücher+Loch!Eklige Schlafdecke,Haare in der Dusche,Schimmel,Telefon defekt und Personal,das weder deutsch noch englisch kann.Internet 6$ die Stunde! Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!Lieber mehr zahlen,als in dieses Hotel! Haben auf unserer Rundreise einiges gesehen,aber DAS HOTEL zu diesem Preis ist einfach nur unverschämt!Es ist zwar NY,aber sowas sollte selbst hier nicht vorkommen.War zutiefst enttäuscht und wirklich vom Zimmer angewiedert und froh, da raus zu sein. NY sonst war aber großartig!!!!!!!!!! :)

Handtücher wurden die 4 Nächte nicht gewechselt, Zimmer nicht saubergemacht, einige Personen an der Rezeption unfreundlich, einige freundlich.

this is not a hotel but a dormitory, the reception( if you can call this a reception...no chairs no table for the coming customers ,a guy sit behind a look like kitchen window..) is on the 1st floor ,no lift, we had to carry our luggages to the 2nd floor,our so call Delux room is a tiny room once you put your luggage down and you won`t be able to move ,the broken ceiling is bound to fall on your head, gees they nver check and repair their room,tiny dirty restroom . the worst thing is that our neighbour listen to their chinese music so lound ,and chatting loundly late at night ,they just don`t care about others clients , seems like these people live there and pay by month, so go anywhere but not here ,for the location you should be able to find better place ,in west village or east or west midtown, New York`s China town not alike other China towns in US or Canada ,here it is a dirty noisy and bad smell district i

Die Koffer in den 4. Stock darf man selbst schleppen, es gibt keinen Lift. Die Matratze ist mit einer Plastikfolie überzogen. Darüber ein hauchdünnes Spannbetttuch. Der Schweiß bleibt so schön am Körper. Der Wunsch nach einem zweiten Laken bleibt unerfüllt. Manchmal wird vergessen, das Zimmer zu machen. Zahnputzbecher gibt es auch auf Nachfrage nicht. Sie werden versprochen, aber man muss sie sich selbst abholen. Es wohnen dort offenbar überwiegend junge Chinesen. Das Haus wird auch von Chinesen betrieben. Zwar liegen in den engen Fluren permanent volle Müllsäcke rum, aber das Zimmer war sauber - auch unter dem Bett.
