Hotel Felix Chicago - Chicago

Hotel Felix was a fantastic find! Close to everywhere, shopping, nightlife, the loop, galleries etc. You could walk anywhere but also L-train, subway and bus lines were very close and handy to use. The hotel was brand new and the staff was super nice and helpful. My special regards to concierge Benjamin - he really brightened my day every afternoon! The bed in the room was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! I suffer from back pain but in this bed I was feeling better than ever! The room was quite small but really nicely and tastelfully decorated. Flat screen tv, iPod docking station, safe, no bath but shower was sufficient for me. Only thing I missed was somewhere to put your luggage, now it had to be opened on the floor and the room being quite small it took out most of the floor space. Also wardrobe was very small, so not a lot of hangers to hang your clothes, but there were two handy drawers built into the bed frame. Breakfast was not included in my deal, but they did have complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby from 7 to 11 in the mornings. In the lobby there was a nice fireplace and a nice ambient music soundtrack was playing. Hotel Felix felt very stylish but cozy at the same time. I would definately stay here again!

the room was rather small. We had a one bed in our room and it was very comfortable. We did have an issue with the noise in the hotel but that was not the hotel's fault.

Hotel Felix made my first time visit to Chicago a wonderful experience. Although the rooms have that european feel to them (very small) they still managed to have everything we needed. The room was nicely decorated, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had an appropriate size. The staff is extremely helpful and nice, they always made sure we knew our way into the city. The hotel is conveniently located, I think is perfect if you want to be close to everything without being in the middle of everything.

Pros: can't beat the location. Short walk from virtually everything. Cons: Rooms are minuscule- about the same size as a cruise cabin (there's a reason they don't have any pics of the rooms online!). Hard to avoid bumping into wall getting in/out of bed. Bathroom is extremely snug as well. Room also lacks coffee maker.

I travel all of the time and NEVER do reviews. I got into the city early and they let me check into my room at 10 am no problem with no extra fee. The doormen were available to catch cabs and were friendly and making conversation.

This boutique hotel was ok. The rooms are very small. The room size was ok for one person but if I had been traveling with my husband it would have been a very tight squeeze. Alot of building noise during the night. A fair walk to anything south of the river. Resutarant was not yet completely in mid-July.

We stayed at Hotel Felix for 5 nights and would return in a heartbeat. It was a gem - loved the modern decor and friendly staff who were so helpful. The place was immaculate. We expected a small room - that's what "boutique" hotel means to us. It was a great little space with such a comfortable bed. Had everything we needed... even a really good hair dryer :)

This hotel is well-run, clean, and modern. It's in a good location, but there was a lot of construction nearby, which made walking a challenge. The staff was helpful and friendly, and it was a pretty good value for the money. There's no kitchen-no coffee maker or fridge, but there's free coffee in the lobby in the morning.

The beds were absolutely wonderful. The room was very nice and clean.Nice staff. It was a very nice stay, even though we did not spend much time at the hotel.

I liked the plushness of the Hotel Felix, but I could not wrap my head around how small the rooms were! The first room they put me was laid out so badly, that I had to change. I literally could not get into the drawers without moving furniture! Another problem is the lack of closet space. If you're a clothes hound, this is not the place for you. The staff was very nice, and the onsight spa was also a boon. Even though I didn't use it, the lobby bar had a contemporary, yet welcoming vibe.

Nice location, rooms very small, bathrooms super small... nice hotel... just need bigger rooms... it felt like i was sleeping in a shoe box.

We really liked the hotel & thought that it was worth the money, but the rooms were really small. It was fine because we were only staying one night, but I wouldn't want to stay longer.

I found a good deal for Hotel Felix and it was definitely worth it! My room was nice, modern, and clean. The bedding was so plush and comfortable! The room was small, but it was ok for me, just 1 person staying 1 night. It's within good walking distance of lots of downtown attractions and shopping.

Hotel Felix is a nice and clean hotel which is considered green. The rooms are very small, no clostes, shower only, and only 2 drawers for clothes. Good hotel for one person or for weekend getaway.

We liked that the hotel was very new. Great location, close to many restaurants, Michigan Ave and two subway lines. Very friendly and helpful staff. The big minus for us was the lumpy pillowtop mattress. May be super soft is "in" right now but we were uncomfortable. If you like very soft and somewhat lumpy mattress, then would highly recommend this place.

Not quite in the Loop but easy walking distance to it or to the Red Line. Very friendly and courteous front desk staff. Would stay there again.

I am in search for a modern business hotel in the Chicago area since I frequently travel to Chicago and wish to stay at one hotel that I am satisfied with and decided to give Hotel Felix a try. I was not satisfied for the following reasons: 1. I booked the room through hotels.com and was given room 313 in front of the floor elevators. You can hear a loud "ping" each and every time one of the three elevators stops on the 3rd floor. 2. I was extremely annoyed that on Monday morning around 6:15 AM I heard disruptive noises hitting against the room door. It appears the person who was cleaning/vacuuming was compelled to wake me up by constantly hitting the bottom of the door. It was disruptive and should not happen at such a hotel. 3. The bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner) are of cheap quality and really have no place at the Hotel Felix. Overall, I was not satisfied with my brief stay even though I paid a high rate.

The reviews for this hotel are right on target. It has everything you need and is pretty SWANKY. Everything about the hotel seriously exceeded all of our expectations. It is about 5 blocks from the Mag Mile and has some great eats within two blocks- just ask the staff. Room size is smaller, however, the beds are large and are the most comfortable I have ever slept in. I actually stripped the bed to find out what kind of mattress they were using. Enjoy!

Room was small for two people and luggage and during our stay there was no breakfast facilities within the hotel. Very central and good value for a short stay.

My wife and I loved the hotel. Rooms were small - we expected this from other reviews that we had read. However, we weren't in the room much, so it wasn't a big deal.

Great boutique hotel with focus on customer service which coupled with exquisitely natural and "simple" interiors makes for a winning experience.

We booked a room with a queen bed. This room was extremely small and wasn't set up to spend any time within the room except for sleeping. I recommend booking aking room fro an additional price. The staff was extremely friendly. The resturant was closed for renovation. The bar area was very busy but the hostesses were very attentive.

Decent hotel but the rooms are tiny. The bathroom is so small you can hardly lay out your toiletries. This hotel will do in a pinch but there are much better choices in downtown Chicago.

My wife and I decided to stay in downtown Chicago for our summer getaway. I'm originally from Chicago and finding Hotel Felix through Hotels.com was a SUPERB find! The price was great and the location was awesome! The rooms are a little quaint but what you would expect for a chic, boutique-style hotel in a downtown, metropolitan area. We will definitely book a weekend getaway again for the two of us at this location.

Good location for walking around Chicago. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. A little pricey for the room size and amenities given.

Wonderful location within walking distance to almost everywhere. Although the room was very small, they used the space well. How much room does one need in the City of Chicago anyways? The hotel staff was great and the lobby/bar/lounge had great staff. Beautiful building and again, great location. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area!

This room is very nice, the bed and bedding was very comfortable. The room is very compact and perfect for a short stay. Location is great for shopping and cathing the "L" to the ballgame. Will stay again!!

The Hotel Felix was a great spot for my wife and I. We live in the city, but like to "get away" to little spots here and there. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, and it is located near several excellent restaurants. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the cost was not over-the-top.

The hotel staff was friendly and took time with each guest during check in to make sure that their questions about the city were answered, etc. The room was very clean, modern, and the bed was comfortable. It was small, but very similar to hotels you might find in Sweeden or other European cities. It was only about a 5 to 6 block walk to Michigan. We preferred it because it was not in the touristy areas of the city.

The hotel is totally renovated and is very nice. Our bellhop Benjamin was very nice and helped us out anyway he could!! I would definitely recommend to anyone! Good price too!!!

I ran accross Hotel Felix on Hotels.com. Guess we got in on an opening special. To our surprise, it was in a great location with lots of good things in walking distance. The Hotel was great and everyone there was very attentive. Would highly recommend it!

The hotel had a great location, in the heart of downtown Chicago. I never heard another guest or staff member, except in the lobby. The lobby bar had a great vibe and was always full of guests in the evening. The staff was extremely helpful, but left you alone unless you asked for assistance. There were no coffee makers, mini bars or bottles of water in the rooms; however there is a vending machine for beverages on the second floor and they have a great coffee/tea service until 11:00am. The rooms were very stylish, spotless, had great bath products, a rain shower head and the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Any normal amenities that were missing from the rooms I am sure had to do with conservation, as it is a eco-friendly hotel. Did not have a chance to check out the Aveda spa, but the fitness center was great. All in all, I loved the Hotel Felix and can't wait to return. The restaurant is opening soon and then the hotel will be absolutely perfect...
