Location. The modern Mirasierra Suites Hotel and Spa is located in the residential district of Mirasierra in Madrid, Spain. The hotel has mountain views and is five kilometres from Bernabeu football stadium. La Vaguada's shops, the Royal Palace, bustling Puerta del Sol square and Prado Museum are within 10 kilometres. Herrera Oria metro station is 150 metres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The Mirasierra Suites Hotel and Spa is a tall building that looks onto the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains. The airy high-ceilinged marble lobby features tall plants and leather sofas.

The contemporary marble-floored El Verdil restaurant offers a menu of modern Spanish dishes. Drinks and light meals are served in summer on the wooden-decked poolside terrace.

The hotel's 13 naturally lit, flexible meeting rooms can hold up to 850 people. Air-conditioned public areas offer wireless Internet access (surcharge).

A wooden sundeck surrounds the seasonal outdoor pool. The health club has an indoor pool with large glass windows, spa tub, steam rooms, saunas and locker rooms. Spa treatments include facials, massages, physiotherapy and mineral baths. The gym has cardiovascular and resistance machines, weights room with personal trainers, and overlooks the indoor pool. Classes including aerobics, spinning and Pilates are available in the fitness studio.

Guestrooms. Decorated with dark wood, silk and velvet, the Mirasierra Suites Hotel and Spa has 180 air-conditioned suites that include separate lounges. All contemporary suites have minibars, microwave ovens, satellite television, high-speed Internet connections (surcharge), and safes. Marble bathrooms offer walk-in showers and separate tubs, dressing areas, slippers, and bathrobes.

Expert Tip. The hotel is Real Madrid Football Club's official pre-match residence. Tours of their Santiago Bernabeu stadium, five kilometres from the hotel, take place daily except on match days.

It is the hotel's policy that children are only allowed access to the indoor pool from 2-4 p.m. daily.

Routebeschrijving

From Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD):
Distance to Mirasierra Suites Hotel and Spa is 12 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The Mirrasierra Suites Hotel operates a complimentary airport shuttle service from the Bus Hotel sign at the airport. The service runs three times a day. Reservations are advised as the shuttle can only hold six to seven passengers. A regular underground metro service runs from the airport to central Madrid. The station is located in terminal 2 and is on line 8 (pink). The single fare is 1.75 EUR. An airport bus runs to central Madrid's Plaza de Colon terminal. The bus departs every 10 minutes and tickets cost 2.40 EUR. Taxis into the city centre cost about 30 EUR, including an airport surcharge.

Getting around. The Mirasierra Suites Hotel is 150 metres from Herrera Oria metro station, the last station on line 9. The hotel operates a complimentary shuttle service into central Madrid three times daily (pre-booking is advisable). The squares and narrow streets in central Madrid are best explored by foot. An extensive public bus and metro system offers a cheap and efficient way to get around the city. Single tickets can be bought from bus drivers or machines. A 10- trip Metrobus ticket, costing 6.40 EUR, is ideal for those making multiple journeys. Taxis can be hailed on the street and are reasonably priced. The hotel offers a valet-parking service (surcharge).

Driving directions. From Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD):
Take the A10 motorway, following signs for Madrid/Feria de Madrid, then for A10-M40-Recinto Ferial.
Continue along the A10 until you see a sign marked M607- H. Ramon y Cajal-Colmenar-Tres Cantos.
Take Exit 9 (Salida 9- Cardenal Herrera Oria-H. Ramon y Cajal), then turn left and follow signs for Cardenal Herrera Oria-A6.

Zeer goed hotel ten noorden van het centrum

Grote shoppingmall met alle grote winkels (oa. warenhuis El Corte Inglés) op 10 minuten loopafstand. Ook veel restaurants.
